It's most disappointing to me because I feel like I've gotten a good sense on how good Flip can run a team and it's not good. The part where it gets really sad is that he's going to be around a very long time
How can this possibly be the worst season you can remember when we have a likely star in Wiggins? That alone makes this season better. Sure all the injuries sucked, but this may be for the better in the long run.
Tough call tonight - really good college basketball (not our team, needless to say - they are rebuilding too), or a really bad NBA team. I look forward to reading your posts on the Tpuppies, I won't catch them tonight..
WI AND IOWA State have built credible programs under our noses. We have an overmatched kid with a famous dad. What is it about MN that breeds such incompetence in this area?
Gorgui playing inspired basketball the first 9 minutes...8-5 and 3 blocks. I'm anticipating Marney Gellner's halftime interview:
Marney: Gorgui, you were on fire out there in the first half with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 blocks. Was it playing in the Garden that has you so fired up?
Gorgui: No, Marney. I looked at the standings and saw that we are tied with the Knicks. If we lose this game, we get more ping pong balls and increases the chance of drafting Okafor or Towns. And if we draft one of those guys, I'm out of a job!
Wiggins 1 for 7, shooting poorly once again. I think it's pretty clear the guy is exhausted, the jump shot is usually one of the first things to go when you don't have energy.

That's when you're supposed to make a concerned effort to get to the rim and quit settling.
