We all wanted the loss, but you have to love what you saw tonight from the 3 young guys (Dieng, Lavine, and Wiggins). Wiggins got to the line, Dieng played aggressive on defense, and Lavine did a little of everything (and looked EXTREMELY comfortable at the 2-guard).

How'd Payne look?
(Hint: He got his first FG of the game in the 4th quarter.)

Nice to win one. It said something about our medical staff when more than half of the roster is out with injuries. We seriously needs to have this addressed this off season!
Galloway of the knicks look like a player.

Heh, yay I guess? I'm anti-tanking, so I'll take the win. But that wasn't exactly a confidence builder was it?
- Hard to believe this Knicks squad beat San Antonio the other night. I mean, how in the hell did that happen?
- Budinger has more skip in his step lately, but he really isn't going to be much use to us (or anyone else for that matter) if he can't knock down open 3's. I like his strong takes to the hoop lately though.
- Dieng played against one of the few big men more defensively inept than himself. Nice game by the big wet noodle.
- LaVine had a combination of head-shaking moments (he must have had the ball stripped from him cleanly three of four times) and wow! moments. To his credit - and J-Pete pointed this out - he's developed that left hand when going to his left. That sounds like a basic skill-set an NBA player should have easily mastered years ago, but never underestimate the inadequacy of our AAU system in teaching the fundamentals (it's all about gamezzzzz). Good to know Zach's work has paid off.
- Wiggins was once again really shaky with his shot, handles, and mid-range game. Thank goodness he's learning how to draw contact.
- I think Flip has begun to realize just how lost Payne is out there. The fact he limited him to 16 minutes so that he could have Budinger be our primary option at power forward says a lot about Payne's development, or lack thereof, thus far.
- Lorenzen Brown with another solid outing. Damn I wish he could shoot. He would be a fantastic backup. Right now he's passable with his defense and solid playmaking.
My condolences go out to all of you who hoped for a Timberwolves loss.

How many times has the worst record in the league won the lottery? The ping pong balls may be in their favor, but history sure won't. Tank for 2nd or 3rd worst if you want to win it. Or just move the franchise to Cleveland for a night.

A few observations:
- Who would have thought Gorgui would be a better offensive player than a defensive one?
- Who in their right mind would draw up a final shot for Kevin Martin? The guy is a notorious poor performer in the clutch. I wouldn't give him the ball in that situation on a night when he had it going. But Flip gives it to him when he's 8-26.
- Zach Lavine needs to play the 2, and he needs to attack the basket 80% of the time. No one will be able to guard him. And then when he goes to the line he makes them pay.
- Why can't Andrew make shots? Is it all fatigue?
- We played Chase 43 minutes and won. How bad are the Knicks. Real bad.
