I am very concerned that Flip is getting played by Golden State right now. They are putting out all these signals like Klay is worth Love by himself, trying to drive the value down. I think we should hang up the phone now before we end up getting totally fleeced. Here is what would be acceptable and no less:

Love - Martin

Thompson - Green - Lee

We absolutely cannot give up #13 in this deal.

Even then, I'm not happy with the deal. We're not going anywhere with that trade.

According to Krawcynski on KFAN, the Wolves want the Warriors to make "a sacrifice" - Barnes or the 2015 #1. But Lee/Klay alone won't cut it. Even willing to not put Martin in the deal, but GS needs to come off one of those pieces.

They really want Green (not surprising with the Izzo/Flip connection) but the Warriors are drawing a line in the sand on Green

GS has already done their job if you think Love/Martin for Thompson/Green/Lee and no picks is ok on any level. I would also try to dump another deal if possible. Make them take LRMAM or Brewer (if they are so worried about defense) in Jefferson's trade exception as a secondary deal after July 1 (we should keep Love until that date if we want this deal anyway so they can't back out of the secondary deal). Love/Martin/LRMAM for Thompson/Lee/Barnes and a first round pick. We take around 25 million off our payroll and add 17 this year, so we save 8 million for when we have to pay Thompson. Since we are going to have to pay Klay next summer, they need to be taking more than just Martin off our hands. Love is still worth more than Klay, Barnes and the pick, but Lee is at least worth 2 bad contracts off of our team. It's still not even, but I'd take it if the alternative is nothing.

Draymond can't shoot, Barnes is a bust, Lee is old, overpaid and sucks at d, Klay is nice but he's benefitted from Curry and his percentages will likely take a hit, plus he can't carry the team anymore than Love could. I hate this trade as it will just prolong the mediocrity and hinder the rebuild.

I'm not big on Lee either due to him not fitting with Pek. I wonder if another team would have interest in Lee to make it a 3 team deal.

I think it should be very clear now that Klay is definitively part of the upcoming deal, otherwise the teams would not still be talking. If he wasn't, there would be no reason for Flip to keep humoring them. Considering both teams are going to get the guy they want, I do not see a reason why it won't happen.

Right. Plus a couple different people have said the key pieces are pretty much agreed upon and it's the Barnes/1st round pick/filler that are the issues.
