I understand your point khans, but Gallo and Chandler seem like two classic NBA guys who we all keep saying "just wait, just wait until next year." Wilson Chandler has been hyped as the "next big thing" at SF, and honestly is he a top 15 one in the league?
I wanted more picks in this draft, but now that the dust has settled, I think Flip was right to wait on any Love deals. If Lebron stays in Miami (and that's my guess), all the sudden the Warriors, Lakers, Houston, and Chicago are left all battling for Melo. 3 of those teams will miss, meaning that a team like Houston might go all out to get Love, netting us Parsons who is FAR superior to Chandler (and probably Klay, too).
Nuggets the best deal?

I assume Martin is going wherever Love is going, so that leaves a hole in the backcourt. A Harris/McLemore 2 guard rotation makes plenty sense. There are going to be other ways to fill the PF spot than an overrated guy who rebounds, plays no D, is limited offensively and is about to get paid because he is flashy. We can get that for the MLE so why not get another young guy with potential to be something better?
Just drafted LaVine. In your deal we'd be getting Gary Harris. There's no need to get McLemore who likely isn't better than either of them. Faried would be a really good fit with Rubio and he produces. I'd keep him.
Keep in mind, I don't want a Denver deal. I just think it'd be really dumb to trade Faried for McLemore.

Klay, Faried and Chandler are all going to be guys making at or more than 10 million a year in the next year or two. They are all second and third options on good teams (Faried is a 4th or 5th option). Why does it make sense to take them over young guys on cheap deals when you are forcing them into a role that is not ideal for them to be successful?

Source: Brooklyn got in the draft. Will get Minnesota's No. 44 pick. So T-Wolves will pick for the Nets.

I like GRIII, though. Flip went into this draft to get Rubio some damn athletes.

Cam - I think you nailed it. I've been critical of Flip and disagree with him on a number of things. But I'm developing a lot if respect for him. He has conviction and the guts to follow through on what he believes is right. I agree that he's ready to take the home run approach with Love and keep him. I disagree with that approach, but I'm suddenly starting to admire him for it.
