Lol I've been a fan or his for a few years but I forget he is one of those guys that tends to get injured pretty much every year and isn't gettting younger. Last year there were a lot of options at PG even up till around training camp and I think this year will be no different.

Ha ha ha. Really? Blaming Love for hurting JJ's feelings that he just couldn't help turning the ball over and shooting airballs? Maybe Love has been spiking JJ's water since he was a kid which made him only 5'7
It's probably Love's fault that it snows in Minnesota.
Could the Lakers include Gasol in a trade for Love? If Marcus Smart fell to #7 I would be tempted to trade Love and dump some contracts on the Lakers for Gasol, Smart, and cap space.

Love probably told Dante to beat his girlfriend
Love was probably the driver in the Bronco for OJ
Yeah, yeah. You realize there is no bigger fan of Love on this board than me? I blame Barea more so than Love.
But comments from Rubio and Flip, and Love's own behavior recently have given me pause...

who were they?
I know DJ Augustin didn't sign till December. We didn't sign Price till the end of September and although I'm not a fan of his maybe he should have gotten a shot he is at the very least a legit 3rd PG. I hadn't really remembered how bad JJ's shooting percentages ended up they were obviously pretty brutal so Price could have been a better option. There are just a ton of FA PGs on the market this year just there have been the past 2 years.
I do believe we need to add some sort of legit backup PG but I do still have some faith that JJ can be a useful player on the roster. His shooting percentages over his career suggest last year's awful shooting was an abberation. We all agree there needs to be other options so he can be pulled when he starts going crazy in a bad way. Coaching and chemistry are the most under and overrated aspects of the NBA but if Flip can work some magic on both those ends which he was able to do with the wolves most years he was here (I'll admit that was quite a while ago) this team may have something. Flip made Troy Hudson look good when he was healthy and let's not forget JJ has some special physical qualities (quickness and explosive) and his career numbers suggest he can actually shoot. I won't be sad if we trade him but to suggest some backup PGs out there are significantly better may actually be a grass is greener type stretch.
I'm starting to think the onus will actually go back onto Golden State once the draft is over. They probably are not convinced that Flip will turn to a team with a pick-centric offer but once LeBron goes to Miami or Cleveland and once Melo chooses Chicago or Houston, it will be game on for Love. Chandler Pasons would be the big fish that Houston could pit against Klay and really raise the stakes for GS, if there is evidence that Parsons would sign a long term deal in Minnesota. That may or may not be a longshot but if Minnesota said theyd give him Love money in a sign and trade it would expedite the decision process for GS.
I hope this is taken care of by the time FA opens.
That's the kicker, phenom. It's gonna suck if we go into free agency with Love on the roster, but still plan to trade him. It's tough to fill needs when you don't know what those needs will be once you finally do trade Love.
Of course, if we hit free agency with Love on the roster, maybe we do plan to keep him. At least until the trade deadline...
So Woj is reporting that the Cavs have now made a play for Love with number 1 but Love will not agree to an extension so thats a dead end. I figured they would want a commitment.
