Win 55 games? Are you serious? Guys, it's time we get a grip here. This team with or without Love is not making the playoffs next year. They are not going to win 50 games. They may win 40, but I doubt it with a disgruntled star who i hope gets booed mercilessly on his home court.

But seriously, let's not be as delusional as our front office is. We are a lot smarter than that.

He said a slim chance at achieving something that would have a slim chance of convincing him to stay. Certainly not that much of an optimistic take.

I'm just pissed that as an organization we don't get it. Even Milwaukee just drafted a potential franchise player, and guess what, he actually wants to play there and stay there. In the meantime we will just bumble around for the next coupe years before a light bulb goes on and we finally decide we have to begin a new plan. And that new plan will require draft assets that we could have had right now.

It's always repairable. I also love the way Flip is handling this. Love has to play full out for the first half of the season if he's trying to get to a contender or he looks like an attitude problem . . . this team can absolutely make the playoffs as it's currently constructed, but that's not good enough for Love - It might however be good enough to get us premium trade value with a team on the bubble of contention (like GS).

Explain to me how we get to at least 50 wins, because that's what it would take to get to the playoffs. As a 7th or 8th seed no doubt. So even if we made the playoffs, we get to see 4 more losses. Yippeeeeee

Cool, I've seen you mention a couple times that we could have gotten draft assets for Love, and I'm wondering what your source is. I have seen a lot of rumors, on this board and various other sites, but I have not heard of any solid offers from any credible source. We have heard credible sources say that Cleveland would not include #1 unless Love committed, and we have heard credible details about GS, but everything else sounds like conjecture to me. What have you heard?

I'm 100% certain Boston's No. 6, Los Angeles' No. 7 and Sacramento's No. 8 were offered. What they were offered with remains to be seen.

You say 100% certain, but based on what? Any credible links? I remember seeing just the opposite about sactown...that they were poised to offer 8 plus McLemore, but pulled back because Love wouldn't commit. I think the Love uncertainty prevented any decent draft pick offers.

I think you're getting crossed up again, LST. Sacramento and Boston were willing to deal for Love without an assurance that he'd re-sign. Ainge said it himself, and I've posted the link on here for you multiple times, while the Kings were one of the earliest teams we heard about on the trade front as their lottery pick was available for veteran help. LA too would have sent their No. 7 pick for Love, and it would have been a no-brainer for them (not so much for us at the time) considering the rumors from Love's team that he wants to play in LA.

If there is any truth that we could have had multiple Boston picks, or the LA 7th, it makes me envious of what could have been. Look at the players those picks turned into. I think we should be rebuilding around Ricky. Philly and Milwaukee are doing it. Let's face it, we are closer to them than we are to the Warriors or Clippers.
