What do you want to see next for FA?

Post by Hicks123 [enjin:6700838] »

My preferred list for rounding out this team:

Willie Cauley-Stein - Guessing he takes a good chunk of mid-level
Marcus Morris - Solid vet. Feels undervalued.
Quinn Cook - Great shooter at PG spot. Feel he won't get large offers.
Tyus - QO....cut loose if someone offers him contract, which at this point feels unlikely given all the guys available around his talent level.

I'd prefer not to see Marcus Morris... or his twin.

Whether he can make a few shots is irrelevant to me. I genuinely dislike how he plays. I think he's a very selfish player... and their views of the fans are well documented.

No thanks.

WCS seems like a good play. Although without Tyus this team is going to be hurting for ball handling if Teague gets injured.

Kelly Oubre Jr. with the bulk of the MLE for two-three years would be a pretty good get in my book. Currently a RFA for the Suns, but maybe they let him go knowing they have Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson needing minutes.

Oubre's been underwhelming as a scorer in his first several seasons, but I still like his potential on both ends of the court and I view him as a player that could out-produce his contract if he was in the right situation.

This would also make Andrew Wiggins even more expendable. I don't see him being on the roster come October.

My targets would be Oubre Jr. and Quinn. Oubre would absolutely be my top priority right now. I still love his potential. I agree that signing him would make Wiggins even more expendable.

I think WCS is signing with Golden State.

Oubre is about the only guy left In FA that seems really exciting for much more than a vet min contract. I have no idea what kind of money he can be had for. If somehow we could get him for the full mid level I'd do it and figure out the cap situation later including bringing back Tyus going over the Lux tax. I'm not sure why he would come here we have like 29 wings right now and yeah sure we could move some I'd guess he would rather go somewhere with a more obvious opportunity.

Quinn Cook might be a more reasonable get. Is he an actual PG or just an undersized SG? He has value either way but it certainly matters how much I value him if he can actually play PG more than just a basic function.

In regards to Oubre and opportunity, there's a really good argument that he'd be our second-best wing from the moment he signed with us. That's not necessarily saying too much, but it's likely true, which means a pretty decent portion of the timeshare at SG/SF would be rightfully his.

The opportunity is even more apparent if Rosas (and Saunders) are committed to using Covington at the four more.

Lastly, Oubre does fit with what it seems like Rosas is building. Athletes that are long, versatile, and youthful with untapped potential. You could say that about every addition so far in free agency (Bell, Vonleh, Layman), but Oubre would be the most proven player of the bunch.

Another guy of interest is Caldwell-Pope. While I don't believe he has any more upside, he would be a solid professional that can shoot 3's and defend. Would be solid addition.

Pretty much zero chance of that. Oubre is restricted and Suns will match any offer the Wolves are able to do. Its rumored whoever loses on Kawhi might also raise the offer well above what the Wolves could use with their MLE.

Cheick Diallo is the guy I want that we could afford and I'd definitely bring Tyus back.
