Unbelievable. Just think how bad his health must be for him to be walking away from millions of dollars. Such a shame, because he did so much for this program in the short time he was here. A couple years ago I called in this forum for the U to let him go rather than continuing to put him and the team through so much stress, and then a year later nominated my post for "Worst call ever on this board". Turns out his health must have been worse than anyone knew.

Just a terrible blow to the U of M and the Kill family.

I wouldn't be sad for Kill's bank account I feel bad he has to walk away from something he clearly loves. If his health is even decent he can probably make a decent living as a consultant or doing something media related. At least he is well enough to announce it himself. I am not really a Gophers fan (honestly I have a lot of college teams I cheer for) but I will probably try and watch the PC later.
