If Iggy gets bought out by Memphis I'd add him to the list.

Seth Curry just signed with Dallas for $8 million per year. I think that puts Tyus Jones value at somewhere between $5-8 million.

That's a lot man for a backup PG. I just don't know if I'm excited to pay non needle movers that type of money

Perhaps, and if that's the case, I'm calling Mudiay's agent.

That's more than I thought Curry would get. Just because player X gets a certain amount of money doesn't mean player Y gets a corresponding amount. Eventually some teams will run out of money. When it comes Tyus he is a RFA and likely has some desire to stay here in his home town.

Yeah why not check into Mudiay. Maybe he isn't a starter but he could be a replacement for Rose.

I know its easy to feel the FA blues after thinking DLO was going to come to MN, but I'm thinking this is more of a good sign, it shows that Rosas has restraint and won't just overpay to make a splash. DLO would have added scoring and hope that maybe adding another young all-star can start changing things but would it? Does adding DLO change the win total all that much? I'm not sold on him changing things a ton and what this team needs more than anything is to not make salary cap blunders and maximize developing the young talent on this team. Then when we do have some money down the road we can look like a somewhat attractive FA destination.

Well as of now, including Reid's two way deal he has 10 guys signed. That means he needs to find 7 more guys to join this team.

He has his work cut out for him.

I'm sure they could sign Lip to a 10 day contract. I've heard his crossovers are impressive.

The talent we have is what we need to focus on growing we don't have cap room, we don't have a ton of assets. It's probably going to take a few years before we come close to thinking we are good. As far as lower tier FA's that I want J. Noah and the energy he brings, L. Deng as a mentor / minor contributor. PG whatever we can get cheap with Mudiay, McConnell,or Tyus at the top of that list. Also slight interest in J. Meeks. Higher interest in Jamychal Green & T. Lyles but not sure how much they cost. Always have liked K. O'Quinn these type of cheaper players seem both realistic and affordable. Will people jump for joy? No! Could they be solid contributors and help young players grow? Anyone know why Cam Reynolds was cut? I liked his game especially for the price.

The difference is that Seth Curry does something legit that's elite... shoot three pointers. He's a career 44% three point shooter in a league obsessed with taking more three pointers.

Granted, Jones is elite at protecting the ball... his Assist/TO rate is great. But is that one specific skill as impactful or in demand as much?
