Best Pizza In Minnesota?

Post by Leado01 »

We've got some time before the season starts. I'd love to hear from everyone on what their favorite pizza is and why it's special?

Punch is the best I've had in MN. Great dough. It's the closest thing in MN to authentic Italian Neapolitan pizza you'll find in Italy. Pizzeria Lola is my second favorite. It's also close to authentic Italian Neapolitan.

If you like NY style Pizza and find yourself in the western suburbs, don't miss Joey Nova's in Shorewood. It's gonna be crowded, and there's a good reason for that!

I'm going to Italy in November so I'll be able to compare it to these suggestions someday. :)

This thread is fantastic I definitely need to keep track of these recommendations. I might be going up to MN in a few weeks. I think I could probably eat pizza every day...I need to get some pizza now. Lol

If you want an authentic NYC slice you gotta get yourself to Sbarro!!! Lol In all seriousness my favorite pizza slice when was in NYC was the 2 Bros Pizza in Chelsea. Yes I went to multiple 2 Bros pizza locations the Chelsea one was the best IMO. Ok fine did my wife get some really good pizza from some other place? Sure but getting really tasty pizza for a couple bucks a few steps from the hotel was amazing.

Young Joni is good. As you noted, they have some fancy stuff. But their basic Margarita is also very good.

I've never found a good NY style around here. So we'll definitely have to try Joey Nova's.

If you like NY style and are ever in St. Cloud, you must try Sammy's. Been around forever and still the best I've had.

Haven't lived in MN for quite some time but my buddy Eric is part owner of the Pizza Man in Crystal, MN. I'll just over hype them and say hands down #1 pizza in MN even if it's not true because I got ties to them :)

If you are ever in New Haven, CT the original Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is the best pizza I have ever tasted.
