Welcome Ed Davis
Welcome Ed Davis
Wolves trade Spellman and Evans and a future 2nd for Ed Davis.
Great trade!!!
Great trade!!!
Re: Welcome Ed Davis
I absolutely love this. I've wanted Ed Davis on the roster since he was with the Raptors. Great rebounder, kind of meh defender, can't shoot. But goddamn I love watching him play

It's a small win, but this is a win. Good move for the Wolves. Cleared a very valuable roster spot -- hopefully for Jordan McLaughlin. Ed Davis doesn't have much left in the tank, but maybe he can provide some rim protection and rebounding in a pinch.
I like this move mainly because of the available roster spot.

For 500k more we could have had Nerlens Noel. Davis was very bad last year.

Wow. I am absolutely shocked we got Ed Davis! This is like the anti-Rosas. He'll compete with Naz Reid for minutes. Ed Davis can help a defense by the way. Very odd this happened as we were just talking about how he shaped the roster to focus almost exclusively on offense.

Was Nerlens begging to come to Minnesota?

You got the trade wrong. We gave up a second rounder spellman and evans for ed davis. Not happy with this deal.

I look at it as the Wolves traded a second-round pick to retain Jordan McLaughlin, and I can certainly live with that. The Wolves are three million and change under the luxury tax line. Give me J-Mac on a multi-year deal and I'm cool.
