Timberwolves say they sent a 2026 second round pick, Omari Spellman and Jacob Evans to New York in exchange for Ed Davis.
I liked this trade when it happened and I like it even more knowing the pick is in 2026. There's a strong, almost certain likelihood that the Wolves will sell off parts by then and make that pick up. They needed the flexibility right now, though.
I haven't really enjoyed how this off-season has gone, but this minor trade looks like a win to me.

Yeah. 2026 is a long way away. I doubt any current player is on the roster by then. A new owner. And the entire front office is probably gone by then, too.
