Nice article Phenom. Don't let Khans, Duke, and Pork see those stats about how those other guys play better when Rubio is on the floor! Remember, his poor shooting is supposed to make it hard for this team to create space and offense - or at least that's the narrative we hear from the stubborn minority. Fortunately we have factual data that says otherwise!

No.

I haven't read the article yet, so I don't know if it's a genuine question in the article or not. But my answer is No.

A Rubio and Dunn debate? Interesting.

I don't really view it as a debate. Those who want to choose between the two would I guess. It seems strange that many would not like to have two top notch point guards. I think this article is more reflective of the plus aspect of having both vs the need to choose one and never look back. Saying Dunn shouldn't be given the job now isn't anything against him unless you happen to wish Ricky away. I personally wanted Dunn drafted and want them both here.

If Dunn one day is good enough to take the starting job from Ricky, that is a fantastic thing for us. Ricky is probably my favorite player on the team after Towns but I am all for having the best team we can out there. If Dunn surpasses Ricky by year end, you keep Ricky to be the best back up in the league unless someone blows your socks off with an offer. Two years from now I don't want to see Ricky gone, and watch our statistics suck again whenever Dunn is off the floor.

Count me in the group that finds the Ricky/Kris debate preposterous...the difference between the two of them in ability to lead an offense is so vast to make this a moot issue.

Dunn's surprisingly exceptional play at the 2 in his two SL games makes me think a Zach/Kris debate may be a more relevant topic. Zach's terrific last half of the year has most of us quite excited about his potential at SG, but his defense frustrated us at times. His offensive and defensive ratings last year of 104 and 112, respectively, don't add up to an automatic starter in the NBA by any means.

My guess as to what happens? Thibs is able to unlock the immense defensive potential that Zach showed in college, and Zach also continues his upward offensive trajectory, and becomes a very good starting SG in his third year. That will then allow Thibs to use Dunn off the bench in a combo role, with his ultimate best role determined not only by where he seems more comfortable, but also by whether Thibs wants to give more playing time to Jones or Rush.
