Wolves had an inbound play with 1.4 seconds left and got it to Jones who made an incredible play to draw the foul...sunk both free throws to win the game. Announcers both hated the play and call. Said he traveled (he didn't), and then created the contact (he might have!).

Just more proof of what a winner Tyus is. They trailed the entire game, but somehow they pulled it out. He didn't have a particularly good game...21-8-3, but 7 TOs...but he came up big a couple times in the 4th quarter when he had to.

Thanks for the breakdown. Its annoying that I can't watch these games. I should probably use the time to watch some Twins games. lol

Yeah, I hope the kid's alright. Even when it doesn't seem like much, concussions are scary because it's your brain. It's important. Better to be safe than sorry.

Actually, I was mountain biking one afternoon a couple months ago, and literally the next thing I knew it was night and I was in the hospital with a dislocated thumb, broken cheek, and a serious headache. I still don't remember the crash or anything afterward until that night, and the doctor says I never will. What's crazy is the last thing I remember is that I was alone, 5 km from home on a trail in the woods, so I must have ridden home after the accident. My wife said I rode up to the house, laid down on the floor and started repeating "I think I dislocated my thumb and broke my face but I don't know how." She said I kept repeating myself and asking what happened for the next few hours. I only began to realize what was going on and form new memories in the hospital. Four hours later. The experience of that concussion was like unconscious consciousness. Kind of like Alzheimer's or that guy in Memento. Got a week and change off of work with a pretty tender head after that, but I'm fine now. Well, no worse than before! From what I can tell. Did I mention I had a bike accident?

I'm not too worried about Dunn, they're not going to risk their top 5 pick for a few more meaningless summer league games, especially when he looked as good as he did in the two he played in. Summer league is nice, keeps the NBA in the news for diehards during their summer down time, let's borderline players audition for empty spots in the D-league, and draft picks get their first taste of NBA activities, but for rookies of Dunn's level it poses a bigger risk than any potential reward so sit him.

You can watch the replay of all the summer league games on Watch ESPN and I don't even think you need it as a cable channel. That's how I've watched the last few games, including today's tilt.

Tyus Jones yet again made three huge plays down the stretch to win this one. The last play where he got fouled should have been a no-call, but to his credit, he stepped up and made the two free throws to put the game away.

Payne was solid from the field and defensively, but he had a bunch of turnovers too. Still, he's actually playing like the 2nd best player on the team.

Credit goes to Ryan Saunders for taking an 0-3 squad and getting them on a nice run like this. He and Jones are definitely the brains of this outfit.

Q every time I try and watch anything ESPN wants me to sign into a provider. I suppose I should see if I can use someone's password that has one. I should look into that.

Wow, Drew! That's one hell of an experience. Sounds surreal. Apparently, you make a complete recovery -- or maybe not. :). I'm concerned that Dunn still has symptoms bad enough to prompt the team to send him back to Mpls for further evaluation. Not time to panic, but I still remember the Corey Koskie saga. I'm really happy with the way Tyus has played and with a healthy Dunn, we'll have some really nice depth in the backcourt.

It's reasonable to worry however I am not too concerned at this point. Drew's story was scary. I had my own bicycle accident where I was out for a split second at most and I had a concussion. That was my third that I have had. Wear a helmet folks I'm very glad I had mine on. I don't remember having concussion symptoms from any of mine past a couple days at most although the first day is particularly miserable. The bigger issue with my bicycling accident included my face looking bad and being worried about scaring the kids coming to the pool I worked at during the summer. Lol

This last winter my wife and a coworker went for a walk like they tend to do most days. The problem was it was a nasty winter day with tons of ice it was a legit winter weather day for schools and many work places. Both slipped and fell on the ice in the parking lot and hit their heads on the ground. Both had symptoms for weeks. I had to beg my wife not to do any physical activity more than causal walking because the symptoms returned. I told her pro athletes whose who livelihood depends on their being physically prepared are told not to do anything for a time to recover. I think that may have finally convinced her but the nurse practitioner probably helped also. I have no idea why some people or injuries take longer than others but it happens. If Dunn isn't participating in the USA basketball activities then I'll start getting more concerned. Remember Dieng took a bit to get back from his Payne-ful concussion a little over a year ago.
