Not a good sign for covs return.
A smarter organization would have scooped up brewer when he was available.

Idk all the reports are he will be back really soon. Don't blame the wolves for getting a look at a guy who has hit 3s at a high clip in the G League.
Probably .0003% chance I will remember this guys name 2 weeks from now but there is no downside

Respectfully, I completely disagree with this take.
Covington tweeted earlier today that he'll be back soon. This, in a way, corroborates every other report I've seen that said RoCo should be back on the court for the Wolves sooner rather than later. Personally, I'd rather him take the necessary time in order to come back at 100% and reduce the chance of re-injury rather than rush back and worsen the current injury or create an entirely new issue to deal with.
Scooping up Brewer would be the typical Minnesota thing to do. Bring back the same guy that doesn't move the needle in any way, shape, or form just because he's a familiar face and a crowd favorite. Brewer is a wonderful guy and easy to cheer and root for, but the Wolves need to roll the dice on new names/talent and try to find a player. You can't win the lottery if you never play. The same is true for the NBA. You can't unearth the next J.J. Barea, Khris Middleton, Matthew Dellevadova, Alonzo Trier, Jeremy Lin, etc. if you never give these guys a chance.
I'm also not saying that Reynolds will for sure be a player worth keeping around, but I like the move to go get him and give him a chance. Hopefully Saunders won't be scared to use him and see what he's got to offer. Considering his willingness to use everyone on the bench -- including Jared Terrell (!) -- I think we could see Reynolds getting some time here and there. What he does with it will be on him.
Reynolds does have some tools to work with. He's 6'8, 225 lbs (similar to Bates-Diop). He's an adequate perimeter shooter (42.1% from 3P in G-League, 37% from 3P his Junior and Senior seasons at Tulane combined). He's shown he can rebound the basketball to some degree (4.2 RPG in G-League, 6.0+ RPG in Junior and Senior seasons at Tulane). It's a worthy 10-day contract, in my opinion.

No joke I thought this thread might be about Cam!
Brewer would help but even though we are back in the playoff hunt we have plenty of vets already in Bayless Deng Tolliver Rose. Let's get a look at a young guy.

You nailed it, Cam. Don't bring back Covington until he's absolutely 100%. Don't bring back the old familiar Wolves retreads like Brewer (although I like him), but instead take a shot on unexplored talent and see what happens. Maybe Reynolds will turn out to be our version of Middleton. I wouldn't bet on it, but as you said, you can't win the lottery if you never play.

*shakes tiny fist*
You beat me too it. With LST gone, Cams activity has really picked up.
Re: Cam Reynolds
So I did a bit of research and watched some highlight videos on Cam and here is what I gleaned.
His college coach the last 2 years was Mile Dunlevey Sr. In his workout with the Kings Cam said he ran a pro style team so he thinks this helps him in the transition tot e NBA level.
His shooting stoke looks pretty good in those highlights. Per 36 in the G-league he is getting up over 9 threes a game shooting nearly 42 percent. He is an older rookie that's basically come out of nowhere to get an NBA 10 day contract. He barely played in summer league. He has only started 9 games in the g-league. After watching basically the only 2 college highlight videos of him his shot looks even more smooth now than college.
Below is an article written by someone who claims to have watched him play.
