That being said, this phenomenon is also why we tend to overvalue some of those guys. We almost have to just to justify why we dig the team.
Yeah it's funny living outside of Minnesota and telling people you cheer for the Wolves. Most people are confused.
I know that confused look. About 3-4 years ago I ran into a friend of mine named Darnell Valentine. Darnell played for Portland and has always lived in the area. So I'm wearing a T-Wolves hat and we start talking. I believe this is when Towns was a rookie and I'm telling him how excited I am about the future of the Wolves. He sees that I'm serious and he gets that confused look on his face. And all he can say is "Dave, no, no. No Dave, are you kidding?" Turns out he knew what he was talking about and I didn't. But yeah, I've seen that confused look and know exactly what you mean.
