Can we not rehash this? Ugh.

J rich is not good. We would have more dead money in waiters and it was lotto protected so it looks like a future 2nd.

So nah

Josh Richardson's value remains in the eye of the beholder. I advocated for that trade (but with Olynyk instead of Waiters) at the time. But I can see both sides.

Here's a more optimistic take on the guy: https://www.theringer.com/nba/2019/2/28/18243586/josh-richardson-miami-heat-feature

I think at worst... most people agree that he continues to improve -- while being given more responsibilities -- each year in the league. I have no idea where that ultimately leads him as a player in the L... whether he taps out at "pretty good" or "one of the best all-around wings."

Continuous improvement remains THE thing to look for in young players' development. We've seen the dangers of a player who plateaus firsthand...

[Note: Along that improvement take... Young and Collins sure do seem to be improving... both were awesome last night.]

We rehashing shit now? In that case I'd like to gloat about Lauri Markannen and how I was attacked by multiple posters for wanting to draft him with our pick :)

Personally, I'm not rehashing anything to tout being right or somebody being wrong.

I chimed in on the topic to take a subtle dig at Wiggins.

And since I've never done that before... it's not rehashing anything. ;)

Fair. I was a little grumpy last night when I posted it. Still my concerns of the trade was taking on another bad contract (I mean we already have 42 mil in "dead" money in Wiggins and dieng) and the possibility that 1st would never be conveyed.

Then it comes down to how good you think J Rich is and my opinion is good but isn't all star good. So in my opinion not with the trade

And that's cool.

I think it's in part because I think Olynyk had value, even at $12M. That might be a shortsighted take... but he and Saric aren't miles apart.

Right now. The hope is that Saric develops into the much better player.

He and Zach are really piling on the wins there in Chi-town.

Ahh yes, Lauri has a lot of catching up to do with all the other players from last year's class who are the 1-2 option and piling wins like....Donovan Mitchell....and Donovan Mitchell :)

He's got a lot of work to do in order to climb that steep ladder of all those players!

I guess the names Jason Tatum and De'Aaron Fox don't really matter in that convo. The only player on a worse team who went ahead of him is Josh Jackson.

I guess you could add Jason Tatum to the list if we want to pretend Boston wasn't an already stacked team who used the Nets pick. De'Aaron Fox is an ok choice but they are currently not even in the playoffs. However I'm not exactly sure how naming players that wouldn't of been available at 7 helps your "argument" against Lauri being a great call by me lol
