What’s really going on?

This whole Butler situation has got me thinking. Something just doesn't add up.

What if this is all part of an elaborate plan by Thibs to try and 'light the fire' in Towns and Wiggins. What if Butler really isn't on the trade block as other teams GMs have mentioned, doubting Thibs and Layden are sincerely trying perform a trade. I'm not suggested this is the case but the whole situation is weird.

Without a doubt there is a rift between Butler and Towns / Wiggins. Is it beyond repair? It appears so, but what is actually going on behind closed doors?

Yesterday's practice showed the good and bad of having Jimmy Butler on your team. Firstly his passion and work ethic is second to none. But how this effects each individual on the team is case by case. Did he have an agenda? Yes of course he did. He wanted to prove to the team how important he is. But is it possible that he is too intense?

So what's next? Do we wait and see if the situation can hold till trade deadline where a better offer may come, at the risk of writing off the season? Or do we take what we can get before the season starts and try and salvage the season?

This is all over the place.

Butler lashing out at anyone.
Nobody knows what is happening.
Thibs is just standing back watching all this unfold and doing nothing.
Butler going hard specifically at KAT verbally.

I think Jimmy does want out and today's stunt was to further that point. Raise hell and try to get the situation to untenable so he can be traded. He did it very specifically to target KAT and Wiggins to show the world why he wants out and reinforce what he's previously said about them. So far he's looking right on the nose with his commentary.

I think Thibs is highly reluctant to trade Jimmy because he knows Jimmy is his only shot at winning. Jimmy is Thibs only proof that his way can still work in this league and by trading Jimmy he basically kills his career coaching this team to 30 wins. I also think though that Thibs would trade Jimmy if he could get .80 cents on the dollar to appease Glen and get back players who could maybe save his job with a playoff performance, but his best offer is .60 cents on the dollar so he's fine having his favorite player who shows his way works come back and play on the team. He knows he's getting fired so why not make a last ditch effort to show you know what you are doing for future employers by making the playoffs with Jimmy and then getting fired. His way with his players works is the message he's trying to send to the league.

Overall it's just a pretty damning situation for Wiggins and Towns. The vets and the coaches are saying this was the best practice of the year. Jimmy still hasn't been traded because they've given the front office zero confidence that they can take it from here and be a playoff caliber team. An excerpt from Jimmy's interview said Towns challenged people to step up to him, Jimmy did and then Towns proceeded to not go at Jimmy but rather pass the ball away. That's really damning if true. Jimmy coming in and beating them with the bench unit is embarrassing and that combined with their preseason play is a real problem for this team moving forward. They are not showing to be the guys a team should hitch their wagon to in any capacity right now.

At this point I firmly believe Wiggins and Towns don't have it to be 2 of the best 3 players on a good team. We're gonna hand them the keys to the team next year and they're gonna fail and this organization will once again be in the dumps for the duration of their deals until they request their own trades. They've done nothing to give me confidence that they have any clue how to be leaders and how to be professional basketball players. They're just doing their own things and gonna be losers because of it.

Then he goes on to say this was are best practice of the year? Just fire thibs already and have him take jimmy with him. Find a real GM and HC and then see what Wig and kat can become .
