I talked to a friend tonight who has has a pretty close connection to Glen and others in the NBA world. He said Glen wants to well, but he hasn't found a buyer yet who will commit to keeping the team in Minnesota. He said Glen absolutely won't sell unless he gets that commitment.

I'm as frustrated as anyone by Glen's inaction on Thibodeau. But that guy kept NBA basketball in Minnesota, put together a front office and team that took us from being a perpetual bottom-feeder to being a perennial playoff team that eventually made it to the Western Conference finals. He's always been willing to spend money on the team - whether it's paying big buck to players or investing in the arena. People I know who've been around him rave about how well he's treated them and what a genuine, humble guy he is.

So I won't joint the mob piling on Glen. I'll criticize him as I have for poor front office hiring decisions and I'll criticize him now for failing to take the $24 million hit the kicks Thibodeau out the door. But that's enough. And if you want Glen to sell the team right now, then you'll be saying goodbye this the franchise that Glen kept in MN as residents of Seattle say thank you.
