Well, if he plays like last night....doubt it though.

The silver lining is we should see Okogie since I presume he will back up Rose.

Hmmmmm, trade must be imminent.

Could be, but personally I hope not...unless we get a Butler-like superstar in return (doubtful). The Wolves are calling this precautionary "rest" to not play Butler BTB, just like Toronto and Boston are doing with Leonard and Hayward. But Butler isn't coming off a serious injury like those two guys, and it's out of character for Thibs to baby one of his players. So, you may be on to something.

I don't think a trade is imminent. I think it is truly rest, as he is still getting into game shape and he played a ton last night. If he got seriously hurt, it would be disastrous since his trade value would plummet.

Of course the dumbass could be legitimately hurt already. Love that he's out tonight. Couldn't be happier.

Thibs is not one to ever rest players though. Maybe he doesn't want to risk injury with him? IDK, but this seems odd. I'm thinking a trade is close. Then Butler sat out the road trip to Milwaukee too, shouldn't he be getting in shape then? Maybe Thibs is thinking, Butler had a couple good games, maybe I can close a deal between now and the next one. Monday night?

If he is slightly hurt they aren't going to disclose that right now. Any injury news would immediately reduce his value. It might just be easier to say he needs rest rather than he suffered an injury.

If there's not a trade immanent, then this is a joke.

He definitely looked like he hurt himself last night, but did continue to play.

Yep, nothing like not being able to play in back to backs to boost your value.
