Man, and here I thought it was Taylor pulling the plug on things so that he could fire Thibs and then regroup with an interim coach and GM. Nope. This is exactly what Thibs wants and why he's done nothing but enable Butler.

Sorry. I was holding out hope for too long. Cheering for problematic players, supporting problematic management, justifying a problematic owner for all these years.
This has really pushed me over the edge. You can't shut your doors and ignore the problem.
I guess I've been a Minnesota fan so long that I just cannot be too upset at this kind of stuff. This team keeps surprising me because every time I think they've reached the bottom they manage to dig deeper. At this point it's actually become pretty funny to me.
I'm usually able to laugh it off but it's been the same owner now making the same mistakes. At least with the Vikings they've had some turnover to sell us on the next round of ineptitude. I'm just tired of the same tragic story. Mix it up a bit to keep me entertained.
One way to look at this is players only meeting...Butler isn't going anywhere until you give us a better offer. Jimmy is going to be here he just did a players only meeting. A team like Miami will have to take Thibs seriously about keeping Butler... Of course if they start the season 0-5 (or even 0-3) all that goes out the window. Lol

Jimmy Butler confirmed to @Rachel__Nichols that he held a players-only meeting with Timberwolves players on Thursday, a day after he reported to the team for his first practice.
Can someone explain to me what about our preseason play gives you guys confidence that the best thing for this team to do is to tell it's best player to go home and stay home? Are you really in that much of a hurry to go back to being a bad basketball team? It's fine being bad as long as everyone left likes each other. Boy isn't that just the smiling Wes Johnson of arguments. What is the apocalyptic disaster that happens if Thibs and Jimmy play it out and leave? We win a bunch more games? What a rough life for Towns and Wiggins? Is the real damage not already done? I'm just confused what positive benefit comes from jettisoning them both now. They're gone and not only are we the joke of the league, but then we're a playoff team who traded their way back in the lottery. What does that accomplish positively for the team outside of a better draft pick? I'm just not understanding how we come out so much better by dumping them. Great you guys feel better and now we are left with a bad team. Congrats on the accomplishment. You did it.
