I hear what you're saying but he really looks alone back there. No one rotates to help him out or gives any resistance to offensive rebounders.
But he just isn't strong enough or solid enough with his base. I'm starting to buy into the idea that he should be a PF/C versus just a C. Start someone that is basically a bigger, stronger version of Taj that can do all the dirty work and help out on the glass. This is ridiculous.
The fundamentals are weird I totally agree. He's just so jumpy. If he just stood in one place he'd be better off most the time.
Goes for every pump fake like he thinks he's on a trampoline.
With how hard the rules are making it to guard the perimeter; its very hard to win consistently without a damn good defensive big.
Towns getting the looks going to work and converting on the offensive end. Defensively this team including Towns hasn't been able to get stops. Doncic has been very good.
