Letting it fester in this way for too much longer doesn't make sense.

Everybody else, from Wiggins/KAT to Thibs to Layden to Taylor, has been chopped off at the knees while Butler goes on a self-aggrandizing media blitz.

Yeah, you were right about this yesterday. He has totally seized the narrative. I just wonder what the discussions are between Thibs and Taylor. I'm trying to put myself in Thibs shoes....let me try them on for a second...

ICE!!!! ICE!!!!

DO YOUR JOB!!!!!

PLAY ALL 48 MINUTES!!!!

FOUL! FOUL! FOUL! KENNY THAT'S A F@#!$% FOUL!!!

Ok, nothing new here, taking them off now....

You are right they should be doing something...unfortunately they are going against Butler who is a crazy dude that seems to be acting like he has nothing to lose. Meanwhile all Thibs and Layden know how to do is stay the course. Glen doesn't like the spotlight and when he talks has a decent chance of saying something stupid. Glen is probably their best chance of having someone control the narrative but considering he is contemplating the future of his coach and top ranking executives futures...he probably has no desire to say anything. It didn't end well last time he said some stuff before making a move. These guys needed to hire a person to be able to be talker but they apparels didn't find someone, didn't look (I don't think they wanted it) or didn't trust anyone to do that or all of the above.

I'm actually ok if they don't say a word... IF... only IF... they are in the middle of a resolution.

Today. Or, tomorrow at the latest.

You can't say nothing... and do nothing. That would be pure incompetence. This isn't high school basketball. The is effectively a billion-dollar company.

This discussion is making me reflect on the Lee Jenkins signing by the Clippers. Every major industry spends a ton of money on communications departments with an aim on controlling the narrative. Ballmer seems to have brought that thinking to the Clippers to have a journalist working on their side. It would have been a huge asset to us because clearly Jimmy and his agent are having a field day pointing out the Wolves dysfunction.

If Glen wants to fix it himself he's just gonna have to write the 24 million dollar check to Thibs. Thibs is gonna go out with Jimmy and he gets nothing by resigning which is what Glen wants Thibs to do. It's a standoff between Glen wanting Thibs to resign and Thibs wanting Glen to fire him. What's the best way to get fired? Go against what your owner tells you. What's the best way to get someone to resign from the front office so you don't have to pay them their full contract? Make them do things they don't want to do like trading away their favorite player. It's pretty obvious Glen is letting this all happen because he doesn't want to spend the money. And we haven't heard a peep from Thibs because this is what he wants. Everyone here unrealistically believed Thibs should hang himself for the betterment of the franchise including Glen and he's just not biting. He's gonna go down with his guys and he's gonna get well paid for it or he's gonna get to keep his guys and win a bunch of games and get fired with a track record of winning. And Glen wants option 3 where Thibs gets rid of his guys and gets bought out for less than the 24 million owed. Gee I wonder who misplayed their hand on this one.

Completely fair post that might be close to the truth. I think it's worth pointing out that Glen's main motivation for giving Thibs the dual role was that he would have actually be saving himself some money in having to pay 2 big name professionals as GM and Coach separately. Glen is the problem that can't be fixed here unfortunately. Which is why we need a fan petition to get some dirt on the guy.

Actually, Glen was looking to get out. It was Flip who convinced him to stay in. Can't help think he is wondering "why or why didn't I get out".

The most "comfortable" move for him is pretty obvious. Bring back McHale to save the day...

Yes to think we want to go back to Glen's coma years with fondness. I hope to God you're right and he really doesn't want anything to do with this. But man, McHale coming back to save the day would add an amazing layer to this shit show.

@ShamsCharania it wasn't no players meeting you just made that up bro y'all gotta relax with this fake news

@ESPNNBA
Jimmy Butler confirmed to @Rachel__Nichols that he held a players-only meeting with Timberwolves players on Thursday, a day after he reported to the team for his first practice.

Considering jimmy thinks he's the only real player on the team, the meeting consisted of him talking to a mirror.

After dinner my wife says "Let's watch this documentary about the circus". I've been watching it on and off but they haven't gotten to 1989 yet.
