Indeed! I also wonder if Teague has been quietly trying to convince Butler to rejoin the squad and mend some fences. Ya know, it is possible there are conversations and discussions going on that actually don't get leaked! Butler may not tell his agent everything.
None of us really have a clue. The scary part is that perhaps no one on the team (or its owner) does either!

Yeah here is another interesting layer...
Butler's agent is an interesting case. He is also Thibs agent and Wolfson said on his last podcast he is or was the agent for John Lucas III when he was playing. Right now Jimmy is his only NBA client he has some international players etc. chris Sheridan who seems wonky has said a few times in tweets referred to Butler's agent something like he is a heart attack waiting to happen. Wolfson when on his podcast today talking to Bobby Marks (who had an interaction with Lee on Twitter) said something like "I've about had it with Bernie Lee".
It doesn't help that the Wolves front office refuses to comment on anything, thus all stories put out on social media or news goes unchecked by the Wolves. Except for the recent Wolves players denying the "player's only meeting"...
So I guess the most recent trade was Butler for Richardson, 1st round pick and Waiters as filler. It looks like Waiters has 3 years remaining on his contract.

Is that a trade you would do?
I wouldn't. Where did you hear that Tim?
I'm guessing this tweet below is what he was referring to. I covered what I thought in another thread before when I assumed this deal included Waiters but Tim Basically I don't think it's a very good deal. I broke it down as Richardson straight up for Butler and then a 1st round pick for having to take on Waiters contract which is around 25 million beyond this season which isn't enough as it would take way more than that on the market to dump that contract which is roughly Dieng hard to move.
"You don't think that I went crazy sometimes? Man, I was a damn Tasmanian devil," Garnett told The Athletic in a phone interview. "I would say shit at (Kevin) McHale. I would say shit at Flip (Saunders). But it was all to motivate all of us. We had a big game against Chicago and I'm just raising the level to what I'm expecting the next day to be like."
"I'm a T-Wolf for life, man," Garnett said. "I'm 'Sota for life. I've always wanted better for not only the city and the franchise, but Wigs, KAT, those are my guys. I root for those guys. Gorgui Dieng. Those are my guys. I'm just hoping they can get through this rough patch and everybody can get on the same patch and figure it out. It's a shit storm up there."
"What's really the shit storm is that can't nobody keep shit in practice," Garnett said. "What goes on in practice should always stay in practice. And what goes on between two conglomerates as businesses should always stay (private). Everything is so god damn public now."
Ive read alot of pro butler fans comparing his tirades to the likes of kg, jordan, and kobe. But the biggest difference between those guys and jimmy is that those guys were about the team (well maybe not kobe as much, but he was a bit of both) while butler is about him.

That article was a good read. I thought it was interesting how he said Wiggins was his guy.
A total aside from the article I wondered if some of KG's angst towards Glen about ownership etc wasn't helped by the fact that he may have found out that he had been scammed a boatload of money and it was gonna be harder to buy in even if he had wanted to.
"He is especially close with KAT, who just signed a five-year, $190-million contract. The two bigs still talk regularly and KG lauded Towns' work ethic, though he wonders if he spends too much time "trying to be everybody's friend." Learning how and when to assert and demand and control things like that can be tricky, but Garnett challenges Towns to push himself further than he thinks he can go.
"KAT has good leadership skills because he works hard," Garnett said. "It's whether he wants to vocalize those, which is his next challenge as a leader, to me."
