Wiggins getting criticized again by some people. At least it isnt Jimmy this time.

Finally Wig has some motivation to learn how to facilitate for his teammates!

Towns buying breakfast for all the Wolves staff this morning and Wiggins doing a nice donation thing. Neither really add up to a ton of money but its nice stuff to see. Also Butler has done some nice stuff in his career. I don't think he is some bad dude.

I agree, Monster. All three are good guys as well as talented basketball players. So far, Butler is the only one of the three to get the most out of his talent. I think Towns eventually will also. Not sure about Wiggins. As for Butler in particular, I still like him. I think he has some issues dealing well with others. But when you consider his childhood, it shouldn't be surprising that he's have some significant issues.

I'll add we are too used to this type of thing but it should be disgusting that people take the time to post shit on Wiggins post of donating and promoting a charity. Rip Wiggins (or other famous people) if you want but that's just sad.

One was that Jimmy always espouses the "winning is the most important thing" mantra, but his actions since last season would suggest that money is. He also said the circus he has created has destroyed our preseason, and that no matter if he plays with the Wolves or not, the team is so far behind at this point it will be nearly impossible to dig our way out. In other words just because Jimmy is temporarily back, don't expect the wins to just happen. Too much damage has been done.

Suppose what Van Gundy said is true. How could any Wolves fan with a spec of pride in the franchise support him at this point? I think every fan should be as angry as I am. Jimmy has shit on the entire team and state. For some reason i still care about the Wolves and their future. At a minimum I'm going to expect the employees to care as much as i do.

I think you are mistaking supporting him with he's getting paid 20 million to win us games so his ass should be on the court earning that money. I frankly don't care about any of their feelings. Show up and play some damn basketball that you get paid to play. It's called being a professional. I don't understand how Jimmy is affecting your pride in the team and associating this as an assault on Minnesota is crazy. First off. What in the last 15 years has earned pride for being a fan of this franchise? Second off. He hasn't said one bad thing about the state. He's not asking out because it's Minnesota. He's asking out because of money and teammates. It's time to be a grown up. Earn your paycheck. And then don't let the door hit you on the way out. I don't get how Jimmy is the one that is ruining basketball in Minnesota. Everyone on the team and in the organization has let this happen and nobody stepped up to him. There's no pride to be recovered from that. The franchise is a joke and has been a joke for the last 15 years. Jimmy is not the one person who's gonna bring it all down. It's taking a massive group effort from everyone to enable this. How is this the tipping point of losing respect for the organization? They frankly shouldn't have any left from anyone at this point anyway.

I can't believe it, but I agree with everything Khans said. If we can't find a good trade deal then might as well play him. The feelings things is getting old, we aren't good enough to have feelings. The Warriors get to have feelings, the Wolves just gotta suck it up and play. I also don't understand the whole "pride" argument by you Cool. Maybe I'm missing something. This team has been one of the worst organizations, not in basketball, but in ALL of sports. This is well documented on this board. So what pride? I just enjoy shooting the shit with you guys, and reading your info and takes. It's like a nice little escape, but I don't go around bragging I'm a Wolves fan (don't hid it, but just don't care). There is nothing to be prideful about if Jimmy leaves, or if he stays. We are still losers. Let's at least sit back and enjoy the circus cause we all have first row seats anyway

I think you misunderstand me a little bit. If you're not from Minnesota, and I know a lot of you aren't, I totally get not having any pride in this team. Frankly I have zero pride in the "Wolves" part of our team name. But I have tremendous pride in the "Minnesota" part of our name. I'm from Minnesota and still love it even though I don't currently reside there. I care a ton about the reputation of the Minnesota sports teams. That's what Jimmy shit on. He can go fuck himself. I'm a huge fan of the Vikings, Wild, and Twins in addition to the Wolves. But it's not the Wild, Vikes, and Twins I care about. I care about Minnesota and the Twin Cities. If the Wolves ever moved from this market I wouldn't give one shit about them in their new city. The Minnesota North Stars were my favorite sports franchise ever. But when they moved to Dallas that was the last day I cared about them. Maybe I'm different in this way but that's the way I view pro sports.

I think the wolves are too nice on and off the court; Kat, wiggs, lavine, rubio etc... I think they really needed a bulldog type to reel them in all together, its unfortunate that butler is so much of an extreme because i think he's the type of personality this team needs.

I agree to some extent but are those guys just too nice or do they just not play defense? The last couple years Rubio wasn't a pushover on the court and he played defense. When one of the toughest* seeming guys of the last few years is JJ Barea...yeah we do need a Butler...pretty glad we drafted Okogie.

* Did anyone see the video of Steven Adams reacting to being named the toughest guy in the GM poll? This is the best/longest version of it. I've watched it like 25 times and it's still freakin hilarious.

That is funny. Steven Adams would be a perfect fit next to KAT and Wiggins. I saw some comments from LaVine on the situation. He is still very tight with KAT and Wiggins. I think they had chemistry and would have figured out as a group.

That was the whole thesis behind the Butler deal. He brought toughness and defense, which this team sorely lacked. And it worked for the most part. I just think Butler + Thibs was too much of a good thing in the sense that there was no one to counter the other's personality and sooth frayed nerves when necessary. Thibs lacks people skills and so does Jimmy.

I agree, Monster. It's really sad and disturbing. By all accounts, these are good guys. Wiggins and KAT have never acted like prima donnas or jerks in public. I'm tired of the gratuitous negativity directed at players who, in spite of their flaws on the court, are decent people.
