Look at the numbers with any of our starters out, it isnt good.

Is pretty simple that he's a lot better than people here make him out to be.

1. Jeff Teague is a very solid two-way point guard. The Wolves miss this guy in their starting lineup more than any fan wants to admit. He's far from perfect, but he's capable of steadying the tide when Towns/Covington/Wiggins go dry.
2. With Teague being out, Tom Thibodeau has chosen to promote Derrick Rose into the starting lineup, essentially taking him out of the role that he's best suited for -- offensive spark plug off the bench. While I can hypothetically see the reasoning for it, I would have started Tyus Jones instead. Much better fit to run with the starters despite being less talented than Rose.

Agree with tyus starting while teague is out. The bench really struggles to score without rose.

Here are our 7 losses without Teague: Road losses to the Spurs, Warriors, Kings, Lakers, Clippers and Trailblazers, and the home loss to Detroit where our offense looked really good. Pork, do you really think we win any of those games if Teague plays?
That said, I agree with Doper that Teague might be better than we think on this board. But I also think we might play better with him out and Okogie in...or at least we're a lot more fun to watch. I like Jeff, but if we could trade him for cap space and/or picks, start Tyus, and unleash Okogie, I think that would be a good thing for this franchise.

Well the guy has made the playoffs every year of his career. That's gotta mean something

I agree...he's pretty good. But perhaps not the best fit for this roster. And his absence was not the reason we lost in Oakland, and probably not the reason we lost the other road games either.
