No Wolves at Heat Thread?

Post by Leado01 »

Too bad. We played like we were the better team and got our 4th win in a row on the road. No Rose, no Teague, KAT had probably his most complete game.

And Wiggins made 100% of his free throws!

Watched the 4th quarter and really enjoyed watching this team with Tyus (and Bayless) at the point. Great win against a Miami team that has been hot recently. How good this team looks when a PG decides to feature KAT, who really stuffed the stat sheet tonight. Nice to see KAT with 6 blocks and Tyus with 5 steals. Wig with another poor game with 5-16 and, at least according to Alan Horton, complete defensive ineptitude against Wade...maybe his D was better in the first half, because somehow he was a team-best +19.

I continue to think Tyus Jones needs to be our starting PG. He has never done anything other than win, plays terrific defense, and knows how to get KAT and other scorers involved. This team would be so much more successful with Rose backing up Tyus, and Okogie splitting minutes with Wig.

I'm becoming a believer LST. I totally think that's the right thing to do this year, we're likely not making the playoffs. Need to see what we have with Tyus playing with the starters extended minutes.

Have no idea which team shows up for a game.

No idea why we are so inconsistent.

I was feeling too apathetic to make a thread. Anyways it was nice to see KAT play strong and aggressive all game. Great energy, super game. Tyus was solid, BUT Miami really doesn't have any PG's, so it was sort of easy pickings for Tyus. I wouldn't mind seeing Tyus some more with the starters against better PG's. I do remember him struggling a bit against some better competition in the past.

I've wanted Tyus to start at PG for a long time. The team is generally better when he's on the court. Imagine if Towns had been featured as much in the Atlanta game. The Wolves would be working on a nice winning streak.

A few bullets on this one....

- KAT played a whale of a game on both ends. It was probably his most complete game of the season. And he didn't play like a whiny flake in the 4th quarter for once and helped close the game out.

- It's sort of funny that Tyus's limitations as a shot creator works in our favor because it forces us to play more through KAT. Oh, and he's just a stone cold thief!

- Okogie is going to get hurt one of these days. He's a gritty SOB and plays more like a football player. I like it, but I'm not sure how good it is for his longevity. Plus he's gotta start hitting some shots.

- Bayless was terrible.

- I wonder what Spoelstra could do with our roster. His team, with the exception of Whiteside, plays really hard.

- Solid win overall. Miami has been playing better lately so a road win against them is pretty big.

- How the EFF do we lose to Atlanta!?

KAT played like a superstar tonight. When he plays like he did we are so damn tough to beat.

Good win on the road. I think we are what we are a 500ish team. Will that be enough to make the playoffs probably not but I still like some of the pieces we have.

With the current roster and head coach, I'd agree we're a .500 team this season. I also agree that we have some nice pieces. KAT is obviously the key piece around which this team has to be built. But going forward, I also like Covington, Okogie, Tyus and maybe Saric. I'd also like to see Taj stay with the team beyond this season. Saric has to show he can consistently knock down his three-pointers. And Okogie also has to develop a consistent jumper. KAT really needs a second star if this team is ever going to be a true contender. It's crystal clear that Wiggins will never be that second star. I just don't know how this team can get the second star it needs.
