How good this team looks when a PG decides to feature KAT, who really stuffed the stat sheet tonight. Nice to see KAT with 6 blocks and Tyus with 5 steals. Wig with another poor game with 5-16 and, at least according to Alan Horton, complete defensive ineptitude against Wade...maybe his D was better in the first half, because somehow he was a team-best +19.

I continue to think Tyus Jones needs to be our starting PG. He has never done anything other than win, plays terrific defense, and knows how to get KAT and other scorers involved. This team would be so much more successful with Rose backing up Tyus, and Okogie splitting minutes with Wig.

Yep. Tyus knows how to run the show and he knows who to feed. Let him start with Okie. Wiggins as 6th man. Teague to another team.

Those of you that have been calling for Tyus to start and say he's part of the teams future, I'm on board! I was all for trading him to Phoenix earlier in the year but he might be able to start. I definitely wanna see him start the rest of the year to evaluate him. Unfortunately out head coach won't feel that way when everyone is healthy. We should trade Rose for any asset we can get. We basically have zero chance at the playoffs. Play Tyus and Okogie, we could rebound quickly with a new coach next year. Ping pong balls!!

I love Derrick Rose, but he is probably the best trade chip we have leading up to this season's Feb. trade deadline. I'd want at least a 1st round pick in return. But I'd much rather trade Teague. Unfortunately, his contract probably makes him untradeable unless a contender loses their starting PG between now and the trade deadline. For example, if Lowry were to go down with a season-ending injury, I could see Toronto having a keen interest in acquiring Teague. Same for the Warriors if Curry were to go down, Celtics if Irving went down, or the Sixers if Simmons were to go down. I'm wondering if the Rockets would have any interest given Chris Paul's injury situation.

Bottom line is that it's highly unlikely the Wolves make the playoffs this season. Moreover, at least a couple pieces - Rose and Teague - aren't likely to be here long term. I'm not suggesting we tank. But I agree with you that the Wolves need to look ahead and that means going with players we might be able to build around long term with KAT.

One thing Tyus understands better than any other PG on the roster is that you get the ball to your best damn player as often as possible. It seems really basic, yet Teague and Rose struggle with this more than you'd think given their experience in the league.

Combine that with his league leading assist-TO ratio and solid defense and you have the makings of a solid starting PG. The problem is when everything else breaks down, he's not very good at creating a shot on his own. That's where we need another back court shot creator. Wiggins is playing that role for now, but that is far from ideal.
