Our defense actually did "good enough" to win despite a fairly listless first half. We've gotta make shots though. Too many open 3's missed, game over. I'm not sure that's on the coach.

As for off ball movement, Saric managed to score 15 points and I don't think he had a single play run for him. That guy knows how to move without the ball. So I think it's both Thibs' stagnant offensive sets, but also the players getting a little lazy and not making hard cuts in the context of his offense. Thibs isn't going to bench anyone for making a timely basket cut.

Yeah, this team's issues go beyond the coach. That said, I think a lot of problems will disappear after he is gone.

Guys like tolliver and cov are big volume 3 pt shooters, now neither look close to hitting one.

If we have a shooting coach, he should get fired.
If we don't have one, we should go get one like yesterday.

This team has been the most pathetic road team with Thibs coaching them FOR YEARS. I have to think that in some way Thibs brings them down when the crowd isn't there to bring them up. Yeah the players have some blame of course. If LeBron was here for instance the energy and execution would be much better. But maybe that's because LeBron is basically a coach himself.

You have to think that it's couldn't get any worse with anyone else. Heck throw a high school coach out there and we wouldn't be in any worse shape.

I'm ok with Thibs being fired. Even today.

Ok. And then what?

As noted previously in this thread... it's a player's league. And the Wolves still won't be good enough.
