If I was the owner I'd focus on development and put the three T's (Taj, Toliver and Teague) on the bench and give their playing time to players that will be on the team next year. I'm not saying tank. Decisions will need to be made regarding Jones and Rose. Okogie needs minutes to develop. Saric deserves minutes.
Agree completely! I'd trade those 3 for future assets, flexibly going forward to help build the team the next 2-3 years. The problem is, they have a coach/POBO who won't look at the situation objectively.
This team is 2.5 games out of the playoffs. How dare the organization try and win games.
Memphis and Dallas have fallen out of the top 8 in the West as I expected. The next team to fall out of the top 8 will be Sacramento. Other than the Kings, I don't expect any of the other teams in the top 8 to falling into the bottom 7 barring a major injury to a core player. That means there will be one playoff spot for one of the current bottom 7 teams other than the Grizzlies, Mavs and Kings. Obviously the Suns don't have a chance of making the playoffs. So we sit here today, I see the Spurs, Pelicans, Jazz, Grizzlies and Wolves as the primary competitors for the final 8th playoff spot. On talent, the Wolves should be the team that prevails.

I pretty much agree with this assessment, and despite a poor effort against the Spurs and being in 14th place 3 games out of 8th, I'm not ready to give up hope for the playoffs. With three winnable games after we leave OkC, tonight is a big game. The Thunder are on a tear winning their last 4 games, but they played a nailbiter last night in Utah with 3 starters playing 40 minutes. They will be tired tonight, so this game is winnable despite OkC being a 7 1/2 point favorite. I hope Rose is healthy and can contribute, but in any event we have to play at a fast pace tonight against a team with heavy legs.
