He's pushing the rules of basketball beyond their limits making the refs need to reel him in or just get away with it.

I get what you are saying and Harden bugs me plenty but part of what you are saying also makes him sound like a basketball genius...which he is to some extent

Honestly I can't think of a guy that I hate so much that I wouldn't want him on my team ever. I'm sure someday I'll think of someone and be annoyed about it.

I don't really think it's genius anymore though. I think he's just constantly breaking the rules and making the refs take him out of the game which they won't because of his status in the league. I think a genius revolutionizes the game within the rules of the game. He just doing illegal stuff cause he knows they won't take him out of the game. The step back, step back is not an innovative basketball play because it's not legal. His footwork and his handles are phenomenal and his euro step used to be a great basketball play, but now he's just foul hunting and traveling and the genius that was there is gone and it's just become getting away with as much as they'll allow you to get away with. I loved his game 3-4 years ago when he first got to Houston. Now he just seems like he's in shortcut mode at all times.

Personally I think guys like Harden and Curry are revolutionizing the game actually. I've seen a number of videos that explain how some of those step back moves Harden does are absolutely legal. He does travel sometimes. The footwork to get up shots beyond the 3 point line is just on another level now. It looked like to me that Butler worked on in the offseason. I have a bit of a love hate relationship with Harden but not to the level of Draymond Green though. Lol

I don't know if you have seen this parody of Harden but it's pretty funny.

He would easily be my second choice. Durant stole the opportunity from fans to witness an outstanding gsw/okc rivalry in the west, with a LeBron final rivalry.

His move created such a huge domino effect across the league - it became pony up to make an attempt to dethrone gsw or sell for the tank in order to ride out the storm.

I appreciate Steph, Klay, Iggy ( always wanted him here), and Livingston - can't stand Green and Durant.
