That something needs to come from our two max players. It's really that simple. You can't make the big bucks and then need all these other pieces to take a step to the next level. We've paid our two guys. We've put quality role players around them. It's on them to step their games up to the next level to get our team to that next level. Adding another max piece to our two existing max pieces is gonna really thin out our roster and require that step anyway so why not spend responsibly around them on quality depth since they need to step it up either way?
Yep. The team goes as far as Wiggins + KAT takes it.
It's what we were excited about with back-to-back #1 picks... and what we were hoping for with back-to-back max contracts.

Do you know what that system is? Personally, I'd like to see KAT take many more shots... at least until it's proven he can't be a high-volume shooter with the great efficiency he's shown thus far in his career.
I'm down for increasing KAT's shot volume. Both from 3 and close to the basket. He's a good enough passer that he should be able to get himself out of double teams and sticky situations. I'll throw in Andrew attacking the basket and playing tight D.

Fair. Although I don't know if a new system can really help with most of the last sentence...
I'd be happy if KAT planted his ass in the low post and dominated like I know he can. Sure he can shoot the 3, but he's close to unstoppable in the paint. Get hm 25 shots a night down there.

The rub is that it's tough to get him touches down there with the new rules in place. Teams can front him... even with a shorter player. And I don't know what his percentage is on the block vs. other bigs... but him shooting 40% around the arc is exactly what helps him separate from other big men.

I'm not saying he shouldn't take the occasional three, he should. The Bulls broadcast last night was marveling at his work in the paint. They couldn't understand why he doesn't spend more time there. I agree.

I love the way Rose is playing this year but doesn't his game take away from KAT getting more shots? Doesn't a facilitating point guard make more sense. (Rubio is a free agent - Ha!) Taj is probably gone next year. I hope Teague is gone next year. I'd like to see a bigger bodied center added to the mix.

I think it is super hard to continually post him up. The defenders in the post can mug him before and after the catch. If they put a little guy on Kat they can flop and looks bad.
The rules effect why it's so hard to post Kat up and in general be a team dominated by an offensive center. And that's not KATs fault that is how the league wants to go
