I just think it would look bad if we draft best available only to bench him and bury Okogie because Wiggins is here. Just for the record, between a Covington/Wiggins pairing, my issue wouldn't be Covington.

Speaking of Covington, he's an UDFA who Philly picked up, developed in G-League, gave him a 4 year deal, watched him turn into an All-NBA first teamer on defense, gave him a nice contract and flipped him for Jimmy Butler.

The Wolves can take a notebook full of notes from the Sixers' on how to develop young talent (Fultz aside, though I never liked him).

Elton Brand has been on the job for 3 months and he's already better than this joke of a front office.

We can let Rose walk. He's going to demand some decent money (if he stays healthy). That'll give PT for Okogie.

Where though? Not at the wing unless you wanna make Covington your permanent PF.

They'll look better but they won't win games, which makes their performances meaningless.

Backing up Covington and Wiggins. Saric can play PF. We can trade / let Taj go.

Unless the plan is to cut Wiggins' time back severely, I just don't see how they make the impact they would need to long term.

Trading Wiggins would free that up, but my point stands.

With Okogies limited offense, I'd rather not see him starting myself anyways or playing a ton of minutes. If he starts hitting the open jumpers then yes. It's better to have more options then less.

Saying that I love Okogies energy and defense. He just hasn't shown he can be good enough offensively yet to be a starter imo.

Congratulations, Wolves. I am done. I've been a fan from the beginning. I was there when you beat PHI in the dome, and probably went to 50 or so games the first 3 years before I moved to FL. And now I'm done.

This the second worst MIN sports trade in history (Herschel will probably always be first). This makes the Brent Burns trade competent. This makes the KG trade look like Highway robbery.

So this is better than four 1sts and cap crap from HOU? Or whatever MIA would have countered with?

If you extrapolate this trade out, MIN just traded #7/Zach/Dunn for Covington/Saric/Bayless/2nd. That's not winning basketball. This is David Kahn/John Gabriel nonsense. I can't take anymore. Move to Seattle. Move to the Lake of Tranquility. I don't care.

Respond if you want. I'm not going to read it.

Covington was 8th in RPM last year. Not 8th among SFs or wing players...8th overall innthe NBA. In DRPM only Gobert and Andre Roberson we're above him. He is averaging almost 2 steals and 2 blocks a game so far this year. The blocks are gonna come down but he is a guy that could really help and possibly be a trade piece down the road.

Bayless is a nice expiring contract for us.

Here's what sucks for Philadelphia: They gave up a lot of their depth for Jimmy. How confident can you be in the collective health of their 3 stars? That team is so vulnerable now. You know Jimmy is going to miss some time. I'd bet Embiid's injury troubles are not behind him. I could see Simmons staying healthy but that will have to play itself out. And we know Patton can't stay on the floor. They better hope everyone is ready to go at playoff time.

Yep about 22 million in expiring contracts with him and Taj.
