But with that said there is zero chance Ainge deals for butler, especially isn't giving up any valuable draft assists. Heyward's Health is arguably better then Butler's when you figure in his age. Ainge knows better, Ainge is smart enough to know signing Butler to a 200 million deal is absolutely dumb, him and Kyrie both signed to 200 million deals would be catastrophic. We won't get Alexander from the Clips or Knox from the Knicks.
I want you to be wrong, Duke. :). But deep down I know you're right that Ainge is too smart to do that deal. Nevertheless, we don't know Hayward's condition. If Danny agreed to the deal I suggested, I would probably mean Hayward has some serious residual effects from his gruesome injury. But I'd still do the deal if I could get the Sacramento pick.

The most likely deal right now will be Mo Williams, T. Harris and some protected pick.
I'd prefer Gilgeous-Alexander over Mo Williams to go with T. Harris and a protected pick. And I'd want no worse than top 10 protected. We'd have to wait for the Clippers 2021 pick. The goal in trading Butler has to be the acquisition of young talent and/or picks to renew the rebuild process. That's why I'd want Gilgeous-Alexander. Harris just turned 26 so he fits well with our young core of KAT, Wiggins and Tyus who are all 23 along with our two 19/20 year old rookies.
A starting SF that plays grit and grind and a back up C for Gasol.
Wolves get Parsons, Jackson, and a future first.
Wolves get someone to play SF (that can play when healthy), get the future PF to play behind TAJ, and a pick. We get some salary because of Chandler, but we also unload Diengs deal.

Clippers is the most realistic option now. Not the best, but the most realistic. Tobias harris and gilgeous-alexander and a pick is a must in any trade for jimmy. We should try to package dieng with jimmy and get gortat back.
Butler to the Clippers for Tobias Harris, Lou Williams and a future pick? They could win with that lineup. It might even appease Thibs with his desire to win now (although I'd much prefer no Thibs at this point).
