You don't need shot creators if you can move the ball effectively in the half court.

To be fair Pop has always had a top post option plus he had Parker and Manu for almost 20 years. But yes moving the ball matters.

No Parker, Manu or Kawhi last year. This year they're still good so far. My point was we don't need 5 "shot creators" if we have good movement, screens, and guys like Covington and Saric who can hit 3s.

At some point draft position doesn't matter but when considering Saric's potential it's probably worth remembering he likely would have gone higher in the draft if he was coming over right away which he wasn't. Hinkie moves down 2 spots to 12 while picking up future draft assets and picked him. How much higher would Saric have gone? Idk but it would have been higher. Remember he came over before he could have gotten a higher salary like Mirotic. So really because he was taken later and then signed under that year's draft scale that's why we have him cheap for this season and the next.

Parker and Manu played 120 games last year. Aldridge averaged 23ppg.

Yes you don't need 5 shot creators. I agree with your point then. I think what people are worried about is not having a guy that can get their shot or create one when we need a bucket. I think that's a legit question and that's even more about the playoffs if this team is looking towards being a contender than the regular season.

You can get good shots with good ball movement, especially with the way teams space the floor now. The Bobby Knight in me says that if you include some motion and some screens you can get good shots at the rim.

Oops. Egg on my face. I thought they missed most of last season.

It's cool your actual point still stands. One reason why? Look at the roster. There basically isn't a single player that shouldn't have the green light to at least take a corner 3. Particularly if Saric is in the starting lineup everyone on the floor can actually make a 3. This is the Timberwolves we are talking about. It's kinda amazing.

I would of preferred this deal to the Philly deal. We definitely would of lacked wing depth. 1st rounders are very valuable right now. The Pels are desperate to keep AD. But I know Tibs didn't want to trade Butler to the west. Smh
