Boone talk. I am thinking Zimmerman is going to have a short leash with guys so I can see it. I wouldn't be shocked if Boone and Remmers are not playing much at the end of the year even if they are healthy.

Just to counterpoint all this.

How much has Boone practiced since his injury? Was he just a little rusty?

If you want to go with PPF numbers Easton was 37.3 for the game and Boone was 47.0 soo..you could say neither were good. Was Easton better when he was at guard than at C?

The reality is yeah they are gonna put the best guys out there. If Easton is better than Boone they were put him in there at LG. Word is Zimmer is thinking about playing the starters some in the last game. I can't blame him especially since the theoretical starters on oline has barely played together in real games.

Do you want all your Centers starting on the oline? Probably not in case of injury.

Hey if someone takes over that job and even becomes average great that means they can easily dump Boone and his 6 million salary next offseason. Even if someone doesn't get the job this year it could still happen next year.

Anybody else thinking this is going to be a long, losing season? I know preseason doesn't mean a whole lot, but I still expect to see some progress and didn't.

I can see the offense starting off slow but then coming together after a few games and being averagish which could be good enough. I don't care about the preseason I feel confident enough in the defense being good enough to keep them in games. We will see. There certainly is a chance for disaster to strike if there are injuries.

Well that last game was pretty bad.

Brown and Price were horrible at CB. Brothers doesn't look the part of LB, but is always at the ball. Wilson looks fast, but not always in the right spot.

Alexandar played good and I was thinking I have not seen anyone catch a thing on him and then the got the penalty for taunting. Hill did his job at LT. Isodra had a great block in the open field on a screen.

I would have been interested in seeing Hill play some LT. Beavers played that all game long and was decent from what I saw.

I thought Cayleb Jones looked legit. He was a guy that was able to fight for the ball and come down with it. That is something I saw Adams and Coley struggle with. They are both electric once they get the ball, but are not down field threats at this time. Treadwell looked okay.

I just finished watching the game and the only thing I will add was Leidner actually looked more than decent throwing the ball. I know it was on scrubs but based on what people said about him My expectations were low. I didn't really watching play in college.

I watched the final Broncos game against the Cards to see Sloter play. He looked meh at times but other times looked plenty intruiging. The guy can throw the ball. Basically this guy came out of nowhere to be sort of an interesting prospect. Supposedly he is a 4.6 40 guy and throws with about as much velocity as anyone in this draft. There are some interesting articles out there about his story and his talent. I'm not sold on him or anything but he is intruiging.

I think Sloter is certainly an upgrade. Could he be our next Rich Gannon/Brad Johnson type development QB?

Well since you mention those guys...if you have time it's interesting reading all this guy has to say about him. He makes the point that NFL media and teams miss good QBs and draft guys that suck plenty often. He actually says he straight up thinks Sloter is a better prospect than Wentz. It seems like he isn't just going for clicks either even if he is kinda long winded. I'm not completely sold but it's worth a read if you have the time.
