Kinda speightslike.
Interesting to compare Naz to Pek. Keep in mind that Naz turned 20 in August and he is a big dude and I think he looks in a little better shape than summer league. Not many guys have the strength and ability to actually utilize it offensively like pek. Naz looks bigger (taller) than his measurements he has plenty of physical attributes to work with but he moves well. Pek moved better than he was given credit for but Naz hasn't looked slow to me. Like you said his lack of lift is a problem but unlike Pek he has the possibility of spacing out and hitting 3's. What adds to that is that he looks to have a legit potential to make passes to guys that cut. Any issues with Naz in these 2preseason games had nothing to do with his effort. He seems to be doing well there and on defense he seems to know pretty much what he is supposed to do. He isn't playing against the greatest competition and it's preseason but it's a step up for summer league (espcially since both games were pretty high tempo) and he looked more like he belonged than a guy that was undrafted and played just 1 year in college.

He definitely looks ?the part on measurables and physical attributes alone, but the on-court production is lacking and unworthy of minutes at the NBA level. Minnesota better hope Jordan Bell and Naz Reid can step up because Gorgui Dieng sure as hell isn't capable either.
Yeah, losing Taj really put us in a hole in the 2nd big position. We're going to have to hope we struck gold with Reid or Bell. I'm not super confident we did.
Naz, maybe KBD, definitely Nowell along with the two way guys should get as much run as humanly possible in G League
I agree, Wild. Looking at this roster and considering what we've seen so far in the preseason, I see the Wolves ending up with between 27-32 wins. Rosas has clearly taken the long view. It's all about the development of the young guys on the roster and who the Wolves draft next summer. Culver, Nowell, Okogie and KBD are the most talented players on the roster under age 24. Naz is only 21 and his combination of size and shooting touch is intriguing. So yes, these guys needs lots of playing time - either in the G-League or the NBA.

I'll add that Naz actually turned 20 in August and is one of 3 players on the Wolves roster (Culver and Nowell) that are that age. I'm going way out on a limb here but I think Towns is the most talented player under 24. ;) Jon K said for months this organization wanted to be about player development. We are certainly here now let's see what they do with it. I'm always optimistic but I feel with the group we have top to bottom it feels ripe to actually have some success in that regard.
