I remember getting a pitcher of Bullfrog and an order of Lumpia in the PI for a couple bucks!

Where's the PI?

Lumpia is a filipino roll (really good btw), so guessing the Philippine islands?

...and then don't trade the next Cassell for the next Marko Jaric. Also we need to tell that Sam Cassell guy to calm down his celebrations a bit.

I forgot about that you win some and you lose many as a Wolves fan.

McHale did dump Jaric in the OJ Mayo for Love deal that also added Mike Miller plus some good guys to have around Vets who stuck in the league for a while in Brian Cardinal and Jason's Collins. That trade kinda harkened back to when McHale first took over the franchise and made a number of pretty good moves changing over the roster. The player that was selected with the pick the Wolves gave up in the Cassell trade was Austin Rivers at #10. There were guys I'd rather have than nothing but from #10 through the rest of the first round that year was fringe/end starters at best like Mo Harkless at basically the high end as it stands now. The 2nd round brought guys like Draymond and Middleton. That was still a bad trade but I don't think the draft pick was anything significant based on who was actually taken.

Golden State is scrambling to recover from an injury to one great player and figuring out how to move on from one of the best players in the league of all time. And yet here we are trying to figure out how we can be competitive with them. That's fucked up

The Warriors will start this upcoming season with two of the three allstars (Curry and Green) who led them to two of the team's last three NBA championships and the best regular season record in NBA history. The third all-star will likely return after the allstar break. Meanwhile, the Warriors acquired another all-star, D'Angelo Russell, this summer. So I don't think the Wolves will be the only team figuring out how to be competitive with them - although the Lakers and Clippers appear to be the teams to beat.

And actually, the Wolves don't seem to be aiming at being competitive with the Warriors this upcoming season. Instead, the Wolves appear to be looking at becoming a championship contender a few years down the road when KAT will be entering his prime and Curry will be on the downward slope of his career. The prospects of that happening will depend a lot of the development of Culver, Okogie, KBD, Nowell and the young free agents signed this summer along with future draft picks and trades by the Wolves over the next two years.
