I've always liked Casspi also. With Belly out he makes more sense than Lance. It s agood signing hopefully he is healthy soon. He could be a solid signing beyond this tar and the Wolves will get a look at how he would fit into what they are doing know. He is certainly going to get to play. It's a win for everyone.

Based on what I am reading he would be playing tonight if the league would make it official but dosen't sound like it is going to happen tonight

Wish we had a "like" button. That was pretty funny!

It's a good signing. We be nice to get something out of Payne and Hill too. I read a quote from Thibb in the Strib....something to the effect that he was going to drive these guys through the finish line. Should be a refreshing change from the tanks of seasons past.

Yawn. When have one of these late season signings ever worked out for he Wolves? They always underperform or get hurt. Lance Stephenson is a perfect embodiment of this: A lot of buzz and expectations, then a freak ankle injury, then wallows on the bench, then when finally called back into the rotation experiences another freak ankle injury. Then let go. Pffffffffffffffft......classic.

We never seem to find the Hassan Whitesides, Yogi Ferrells, JaMychal Greens, Seth Currys, or Dewayne Dedmons, All of these guys were cheap, free agent pickups that now play critical roles for their teams.

A lot of people will point to our incompetence with lottery picks as what has been the major cause of this franchise's woes. But I think the bigger story is how hard it's been for us to identify and develop talent with non-lottery draft picks and free agent signings. Most of the really good teams out there have at least two or three "core" players that were not lottery picks. It's something we've never been good at.

Thibs and Layden haven't been on the job for a year yet. They may find and develop some guys but it's early and the team is crazy young. That's a reality. It is gonna take time. That's frustrating but it's a reality.

I'd lock Casspi up for a couple of years on the cheap. Good rotation guy who can shoot the ball, and he's only 28. Low risk addition.
