On a positive note, we are closer to locking up a top ten ping pong ball position.

Why does Bazz always suck when I play him in Daily Fantasy or even regular Fantasy?

yay!

I'll say it now: Not a single player in range of where the Wolves pick, if they pick at all, will contribute positively to this team next season.

9 losses when leading by 15 or more this season.

I think the broadcast team said most by a team since the 60s

I know he is playing some of the best ball of his career but this once again is the 2nd era of wolves team where they suck at holding big leads and winning close games and Ricky is the only same variable

It couldn't be that 4th quarters are played differently in the NBA and generally winning teams have primary ball handlers who can score at this time in the game? Rubio was 0-5 in the 4th and OT. No way can this actually be a correlation though.

He has had a stretch of games where he hasn't been as good lately and part of the problem is they don't have Belly to lean on so there isn't another obvious option. They need more mobile PFs.

Benz said when he talked to West he mentioned Bazz And Rubio. I thought that was kinda interesting.

Lakers made some crazy buckets. The Wolves should have won this game but it wasn't like they didn't defend. Like someone said Brewer was making all kinds of stuff.

Rubio handled at the end of regulation...it wasn't good. I thought it was interesting how he was handling the ball late and not Wiggins.

My question is whether Thibs should have tried Bazz when the Wolves were struggling late. It made sense to go small based on the Lakers lineup but they could have worked Bazz since he would have been able to score on whoever was guarding him.

I was watching closely late and in OT and the Wolves generally didn't look tired and they didn't look completely frustrated either. I was actually a bit surprised. There were quite a few possessions they got good looks they just didn't hit them. On the other end the Lakers made all kinds of stuff. It's clearly a disappointing loss but it also felt like one of those games where things didn't go their way and they lost. Better teams would have pulled it out. They were playing some different lineups though.

Remember all the talk we had on this board about how the Wolves needed big strong guys to help the team at C? It feels like they need more mobile bigger forwards now than anything especially without Belly. Some of that is Dieng playing better as a true center. Towns has stepped up in a lot of ways especially on the boards too but also the league just keeps going smaller. Who would have thought this team would be so desperate to have Casspi to finish out the season?

Also Dave and Jim were talking about David Nwaba and him playing for Cal Poly. A friend of mine (I also took a couple writing and speaking classes from in college) was a PG for a Cal Poly NCAA tourney team years ago.

One last thing I want to mention was at one point Brandon Rush had flubbed up a couple possessions and I was frustrated with him but then he came back and created a couple turnovers in ensuing possessions. I feel like he is a solid vet player with ability to give you flawed but solid impact similar to what Prince did last year but with different skills. I would like to keep him around but obviously with a lesser role and hopefully another vet wing player that's a little better or at the very least the same level of player but can handle the ball. They just need more guys they can go to that they know what they can get from them and count on it. Rush being hurt earlier in the season was a factor I think he would have helped somewhat. The Wolves had been pretty fortunate other than the Lavine injury so I can't complain I'm just sayin.
