Westbrook assists numbers are that much more impressive considering he has no shooters. He's getting guys a lot of bunny points.
Imagine Pairing Klay with him.

Yep.

Remember, that wing spot has always been a problem for OKC. They used Dion Waiters for nearly 30 mpg last season. Yikes. Same thing with the Clippers.

Roberson reminds me a of a modern-day Trenton Hassell.

Yet somehow OKC was a whisker away from making the Finals last season and are once again in the playoff hunt. How can that be when they have a wing that can't shoot and their offense has to play 4 on 5 all the time????

My larger, smart-ass point is that teams can and do succeed with players on the floor that struggle with their shot, yet Rubio is often the scapegoat for the Wolves' troubles, as if all will be better if only we had a point guard that can make an outside shot, never mind whatever else they might do or not do well!

I heard Cavs had workouts yesterday including Mario Chalmers, Lance Stephenson and Kirk Hinrich.

I am surprised Hinrich was not playing. I thought he was a Thibs guy.

To be fair...

The three teams I just mentioned have had...

- Russell Westbrook
- Kevin Durant
- Kevin Garnett
- Chris Paul
- Blake Griffin

Initiating the offense. And yet... on each of those three teams... the non-shooting/scoring player is in part what has held them back.

I just saw Isaiah Thomas had 44 points last night to beat the Raps. He is averaging 29ppg and doing it pretty efficiently. He has to be one of the bargain contracts in the league if not the bargain contract of the league. What a story he is and it's amazing to me that he left the Kings and was signed for relatively cheap. A bunch of teams missed on him a few different times. I've always thought the dude could play but I didn't see this coming.

Monster - I was thinking the same thing last night. How did the Kings let him go? I am glad other then Billups we have not had someone leave and turn out like that.

Yeah, pretty amazing. He was actually pretty good with the Kings too. It's not like he has come out of no where. I think it's a little bit of the short man's bias that exists.

I just did some reading about that and there isn't anything definitive. Meanwhile Thomas has been basically recruiting Cousins the past 2 years so...
