They ran Rubio Kat pick and (stand there). Blazers switch, ricky drove and got his shot blocked

Didn't watch the game, but it looks like Wigs is starting to get the 3-ball to drop. That shot is absolutely huge for him, as right now I feel like he relies way too much on long 2's and tough mid-range turnarounds. Those were great for Kobe - and sometimes it's all the defense gives up - but Wiggins needs to keep improving his 3-ball to get his efficiency up to the standards of today's NBA. Encouraging.

Per Swanny: Another one-point win makes 10 in a row, equaling the NBA's longest such streak in the last 20 years #Twolves

But wait, some folks here tell me we can't win close games with Rubio on the floor!

Wolves lost 18 games by 5 points or less last year. They started 0-10 this year. They started 0-13 (i believe) back in klove last year.

Still think it is fair to at least bring it up

A 1-point game is a hell of a lot closer than a 5 point game! Heck, some of those 5-point losses may have been a result of closing a late 10-15 point gap and falling short.

My larger point is that I've seen a LOT of our games. Rarely am I cursing a close loss due to floor spacing. Coaches can run sets to work around Rubio's inconsistent shooting (including using him as a screener). And depending on what criteria you use, one can demonstrate plenty of close wins too!

Only 4 of those came this year while we had with 9 losses within 3 points (1 possession games). Last I checked 4-9 ain't a great record you should hang your hat on to prove a point that Ricky can stay on the court to end games.

To be fair I like ricky but after 6 years of losing basketball, I think it is fair to at least bring up it.

Wolves have this year 9-9 record in close games. That includes all games within 3 point margin plus all overtime games. So their close game record has eventually evened out just like I predicted to happen.

Last year their close game record was 9-8 in close games. So I don't see that they would have had much problems in those after Kevin Love era.
