"Wolves made major pitch for Bogutl; had playing time/role available behind KAT. Celtics, Cavs also were in mix, but Bogut liked LA vibe."

It's interesting the Wolves went after him with all their front court depth but the reality is if Bogut is healthy he was one of the best remaining FA left. BPA seems to be the Wolves angle the last few weeks aiming high and they already got Bazz. We will see if they get Dante.

I saw that too. I agree that the Wolves seems to be looking for BPA and not any specific skill set or position. However, I still see the need for a big defensive presence who can block shots and rebound alongside KAT. Bogut was the one FA left who fit that profile. Now the Wolves wait for Dante to make his decision.

I doubt we'll ever hear a player say he signed with the Wolves because he "liked the Minnesota vibe." :)

Yeah I totally agree with what you said on Bogut.

On the vibe...Jon K on his last podcast said it was really bizarre writing that Bazz came back to the Wolves in part because they are going to be a playoff team. :) He reported Bazz turned down more money from the Lakers also because of the obvious ability for the Wolves to utilize his bird rights but he also felt playing for a playoff team was good for him to increase his value. I'm pretty sure he reads these boards and is taking our advice. Way to come back Bazz!!! It's weird to be the playoff team someone would pick and NOT the Lakers. The Lakers won't be an easy out though if they stay reasonably healthy Lopez and Bogut as true centers for 48 minutes of you want to go that route? That's pretty good.

I agree with you about the Lakers not being an easy out. I truly believe Ball is an elite talent who will one of the few NBA rookies who actually has a significant positive impact on his team al la Magic Johnson and a handful of others. Ingram is an elite talent who many are predicting will have a break out season. Lopez is a very good player and a healthy Bogut brings a lot to the table. I also think Walton is an excellent coach.

What really disgusts me is the likelihood that the Lakers end up with LeBron next season. That immediately vaults them into the top five. If they also end up with Paul George next season, the West will have to unbeatable teams, which would really suck.
