My guy Gerald Henderson made an announcement. He has some hip issues to deal with. Hopefully he can get it sorted out. He doesn't look to be an option anytime soon.

Actually, my first choice on the free agent market would be Bazz. I was assuming he wouldn't want to come back for the minimum. But maybe he would. If so, I'd love to get him back at this point. He can score and rebound and he came a long way as a defender last season. He's tough and plays with heart. He's young and pretty athletic. He also knows Thibs' system and is familiar with Wigginsand would provide some continuity.

Glen said a few weeks ago that they actuallly offered Bazz a contract this offseason. I'd be curious what that was and if it's the most anyone else offered would that give Bazz some good will towards the Wolves? I'd still think some team will have a better opportunity than the Wolves but we will see how it plays out.

If Bazz had shot 37% plus from 3 last season, he'd probably be getting contract offers starting at $10M or more per year. We've had so many players come through Minnesota that are basically a 3-point shot away from being super useful. Bjelly is another guy that was really putting it together last year defensively, but for whatever reason couldn't hit the 3 consistently.

Bazz would not be the worst player in the world to play with Tyus Jones and Jamal Crawford off the bench. You never know. This was not a good time for him to become a UFA.

What makes it even worse is his lack of being able to handle the ball more than getting his own shot. I follow him on some social media and he is working on some various ball handling stuff combinations etc but he just doesn't seem to be able to have that come together. It really does limit him when it comes to both upside and as a functional player. I think he has improved a little bit over time in that area. I'd say he can dribble around and also knows his limitations more and what he is supposed to do. So being a guy that can't create for anyone and can't hit 3's...man that's tough espcially in today's NBA. I'm a Bazz guy and I think there is a place in the league for him like there is for a guy like Corey Brewer but I think for some teams it's a bit of a tough sell because of his lacking offensive skill set. Teams want to do the Spurs GS pass the ball around etc thing and Bazz doesn't really fit that. He is sorta like the wing version of Al Jefferson. I feel a bit bad for him because it feels like unlike some other guys this franchise has had he has at least shown he can do something at a high level it's just not a valued thing. I think he would be an interesting player for a team like the Jazz that could use some scoring and will probably play a slower pace. They may have some guys they could put around him that would make him playing as a small ball PF make some sense. I don't think the Wolves really had those guys the last couple years when Bazz was healthy. Maybe the Knicks will sign him.

Q -- I actually think that Bazz will become a 37% 3-point shooter. I thought he'd be long gone by now. I don't see him getting offers north of $6 million per year, but I have to believe some team will offer him more than the minimum.

I don't think Bazz would sign for the minimum but we have selling points.

You know the city, players and coaches and don't have to move.

You know the system and you had your best season under Thibs.

You will be the fist forward off the bench and are a injury away from starting on a good team.

If you preform we can pay you next year nicely (weren't able to this year because of his cap hold hindering us in signing other free agents) and we can go into the cap to do so (like waiters this year).

If we traded Cole for another Salary just north of the cap couldn't we offer Bazz the MLE?

No if you start the offseason under the cap you can't aquire a MLE. We will have one next year
