So this article quotes Doogie as a "report"? What has happened to journalism?

I generally don't put much stock in Doogie's reporting. In this instance, what Doogie reported in this article is identical to what was reported by Jon K is an article someone posted in another thread a few weeks ago. Jon K is highly reliable. So I'm persuaded that Doogie's description of the tension between Thibs and others in the organization, including Taylor, is probably accurate. But it doesn't surprise me. It was those sorts of tensions that led to his exit in Chicago. And I'm not concerned either.

I'm concerned with Thibodeau's personnel decisions as PBO and whether he gets the most out of the personnel he signs in his role as head coach. He's done things in both roles to earn praise and he's done things in both roles that deserve criticism. What he does over the next 12 months will tell the tale and ultimately determine whether he should stay or go. The significance of what Doogie and Jon K have reported is that Thibodeau doesn't have much of a margin for error. He's not a guy who develops good will or forges relationships that could help him weather some storms and extend his tenure when he otherwise falls short of expectations.

I suspect those same personality issues probably prevent him from connecting well with some of his players and keep some free agents from considering the Wolves as a destination. But it's hard to know that. Moreover, his success in Chicago shows that he can succeed with the right group of players - at least as the NBA game was played back then. He should be thankful he had a PBO back then who gave him Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler, Deng and Noah. Anyway, I'm not really interested in how Thibodeau relates to Glen or others in the organization. I am admittedly concerned with how he relates to his players to some degree. However, at the end of the day, I'm mainly interested in how this team performs and whether it becomes a championship contender. If Thibodeau can get this team to that level, I don't care if everyone in the Wolves organization hates his guts.
