Playoff Officiating

Post by Lipoli390 »

It's amazing how much contract they allow in the playoffs compared to the regular season. It's gotten to the point where it's problematic because it's nearly impossible to credibly determine what merits a foul. Fouls constantly occur repeatedly on every possession and then suddenly a foul gets called.

The lesson in all this for the Wolves is to be hyper agressive defensively. Force the offcials to call the foul.

Yeah, tons of clutching, grabbing, and shoving.

Outside of Taj and Jimmy, we are really soft defensively. We need to defend like Taj when he was on Jokic. We are seeing Wiggins trying to be a little more aggressive and racking up more of the fouls due to aggression than stupidity. Tyus is another one that is an aggressive defender. However, the downside is that we seem to get very little leeway from the refs. Weve been getting called for some really soft fouls.

The NBA is moving closer to the WWE when it comes to officiating. I had to laugh the other day when I saw a video interview of Silver saying the NBA needs to compensated by the gambling industry due to the increased costs to maintain their integrity. ROFLMFAO!!!

To me the lack of traveling calls is becoming an absolute joke (unless you are Gorgui Dieng, in which the letter of the law must apply at all times).

It's the hardest league too officiate no doubt. I think sometimes we forget there is real skills and talent to do this at the highest levels and that's pitted against players that work hard on their craft. I'm stil especially gonna get frustrated but this series but I'm not sure ai will go so far to question the integrity of the game although I'm not so nieve to think that there is some possibility of things being tainted either.
