Geez Khans, our depth is hardly any better.

I'm loving watching the Jazz destroy OKC. The irony of Rubio getting to the 2nd round of the playoffs and us getting knocked out in the first round. Good for him!

Anyone still think we should of traded him?

I do, they're both on the same PG level and we got a 1st round pick so it's a no brainer for me.

The trade was a wash in my view from a talent perspective as I always felt Rubio and Teague were in the middle tier of NBA point guards. I just felt that Rubio's salary and style was a better fit and we could have spent the extra money on upgrading the bench wings. Getting a first rounder back is a legit asset, so I can see why folks are still on board with the deal.

In the end, I'm still not sure we have the best fit at starting PG, whether it was Rubio or Teague. Tyus Jones with a more reliable 3-point shot and better finishing game would be the absolute ideal PG for our current roster and available $ to spend. We'll see if he keeps on improving in those areas, because he's pretty damn good at every other aspect of being a PG.

I'm in the same boat. Ricky is about to get paid himself so he's gonna cost about the same as Teague and we got a first round pick in a year we wouldn't otherwise have any first round pick because we made the playoffs. Is a second round exit over a first round exit worth a first round pick?

It'll be interesting to see what Rubio gets for that next contract. The NBA financial landscape is moving so quickly... I have no idea.

I would rather have Ricky because of his contract and because I think he's a better fit for our personnel. But trading Ricky landed us a 1st round pick and we wouldn't have one this season if not for that trade. Further, Ricky just wasn't a good fit with Thibodeau regardless of our personnel. As everyone knows, I wish Thibodeau wasn't here. But here's here. Given that he is our head coach and that Ricky doesn't fit Thibs' iso offense, I can't get too bent out of shape about ending up with Teague instead of Ricky.

Nevertheless, I'm thrilled that Utah is doing well and that Ricky is a big part of that.

Great quote I saw from Wolfson's twitter feed:

"Ricky is leading two non-shooters, a rookie and the HR guy from Dunder Mifflin over the reigning MVP and that's amazing but he also looks 10x happier than he ever did here and his success makes Thibs 100x more infuriating."

They still have to close out the series though!

As a huge Steve Nash/Suns fan back in the day... the Westbrook non-suspension bothers me.

While I think it's a sucky rule to begin with... it brings up memories of that travesty of a series vs. the Spurs.

Is Derrick Favors supposed to be the other "non shooter"?

I'm glad Rubio is happy. Not to take away from his time with the Jazz which i do think is a positive I bet he would be happy a lot of places where he made the playoffs. It's also only like the 2nd season of his entire career he wasn't coming of a significant injury.
