Interesting. I hadn't heard that comment from Teague. It's not the first time Teague has publicly criticized Thibs. It confirms my assumption that KAT fanning out was by design. But it was a safe assumption after watching every home game in person from 11 rows behind the Wolves bench where I can see and hear Thibs directing every play and individual player movements from the bench on every possession. Thibs coaches this team like his former Bulls team where he relied primarily on Derrick Rose dribble penetrating and looking to score as his first impulse while secondarily relying on Jimmy Butler to penetrate or take mid-range jumpers. Meanwhile, his Noah's role as the team's center was to defend, rebound and clean up the misses on the offensive end. That's why acquiring Teague made sense to Thibs. He's the closest thing to Rose he could come up with. And honestly, the Wolves are at their best in Thibs' offense when Teague is aggressive and looking to score. In fact, Thibs is constantly saying he wants Teague to be aggressive. The question is whether the approach Thibs appears to be taking is the best approach for the Wolves' personnel. I don't think it is.
Not a doubt in my mind that this was part of thibs plan to flare KAT out. And KAT did no favors for himself by not even caring about the game. The perfect storm of badness which was perfect for Dantoni and the rockets.

What a travesty. Sorry, but KAT versus virtually anyone on the Rockets in the post is better than Teague, Crawford, or Butler trying to go at Capela one on one. It appears that the Wolves have been almost universally ripped for this strategy in Game 1.

It's 2 games now and who has Towns won against? At least Wiggins scored once in a postup last night. Towns can and will win these matchups down the road maybe even next game but he isn't doing them now.
