The games Gobert missed in that 2nd injury they were 4-11. He is absolutely a star and under appreciated because being in Utah. If he played for the Knicks he would have been an all-star at least 3 times now.

...and they were 7-4 on his first injury. So overall 11-15 without Gobert. I will agree that he is a star based on how he impacts the defensive side of the ball. So the team is nearly a .500 team without their only star and they play in the Western Conference. I just think it's an impressive coaching job by Snyder.

I love Snyder, I was just adding that Gobert is absolutely a star.
I also agree that Gobert is a defensive star. Not sure I'd call him a star overall, but reasonable minds can differ on that. Bottom line is that Snyder is a terrific coach who is getting the Jazz team to overachieve given their overall talent level. But credit the front office for drafting Gobert and Mitchell as well as their decision to hire Snyder. It's interesting to watch as the Jazz appear to be retooling while still remaining competitive as they adjust to the unexpected loss of Hayward through free agency last summer. Along with the Celtics, Spurs, Warriors and Rockets, the Jazz have one of the League's best organizations. I think I'd add the Raptors to the list as well.

Well, well, well, it looks like the Western Conference is truly shaping up to be really good after all. The 8th seed in the playoff race is 5 games over .500 (Pelicans) and only 2.5 games behind us. The Clippers and Utah are in 9th and 10th place respectively with winning records. Utah has won 11 in a row!!!!
I believe our defensive struggles of late is the canary in the coal mine. I truly believe we are at risk of missing the playoffs based on our remaining schedule and how damn well the other teams behind us are playing.

Sample size should be enough to hold them off. You hear a lot about (x) teams ahead of them in their push for the playoffs, especially in hockey, to show how difficult it's going to be. The Wolves are ahead of 4/6 teams right now. And there are only 23 games... and these teams will be playing each other in those 23 or whatever games.
I think it's probably unlikely the Wolves go into freefall AND enough teams beneath them play measurably better and win that many more games.
It's a numbers game. Just hold on Wolves... those 5 playoff games are gonna be so worth the wait.

Fair point, but having missed out on the playoffs for so many years, we can never take anything for granted! We have got to keep winning the winnable games!
