This reminds me of something Flip told me. He said that if they hadn't been able to swing the draft-day deal for Marbury they would have drafted Nash that year. Flip and McHale loved him.

Well knowing the Wolves track records with PGs... the guy was a good 3 point shooter from the beginning and his first could years with the Suns he was playing behind all star and or future HOF PGs in kidd and Kevin Johnson. Do you feel better about Flip coaching him those first 2 years or Danny Ainge? It's kind of a fun hypothetical thing to think about because Lip brought it up. I heard the other day that if OKC hasn't traded away the pick to the Clippers who picked Eric Bledsoe OKC would have drafted Avery Bradley.

Man I was hoping the Mavs could get that win and they did. The Clippers were the only team that won their game. Blake Griffin is back and had a nice line. Lou Williams went for 40. The Ringer in their trade deadline guys said he is the same guy he has always been. That's total BS he is so much better than he was like 4 years ago. Now he might be able to play with Blake and get some passes from Milos? Yikes. That team is gonna be kinda fun to watch if it can stay somewhat healthy. They have a pretty decent shot at the playoffs too.

I watched most of the 2nd half of the Wizards Bulls game today. Dunn did play well overall but there were a couple problems with his play in addition to J Grant being ineffective when I was watching. Dunn picked up 2 silly fouls the first sent him to the bench in the 3rd and the 2nd made him have to guard a lesser player putting other players on either Wall or Beal which was kind of a big deal. His shot does look improved.

Nwaba is a guy that I wish was here on this team. Forget about him shooting but he plays hard can defend and handle the ball pretty well for a wing. He and Dunn make a pretty tough perimeter combo.

Mirotic is playing really well.

Surprisingly the Wizards ended up being sorta clutch in this game. There has been plenty of talk about them struggling in that regard for quite a while. Porter didn't play well. Beal was really good and mike Scott has been a really nice find for them.

Boston has two tough games this week - Cleveland on Wednesday and Wolves on Friday. Yet ESPN in their power rankings only mentions the Cleveland game as a tough game for the the Celtics. Who in your opinion will be a tougher match up? I see Kyrie, and the gang, being up for Cleveland, especially against Isiah Thomas and sleeping on the Wolves. On the flip side I worry about our squad looking past Brooklyn...

Many people kept saying OKC would figure it out. Well...it's looking that way and they are coming for us. It wasn't long ago they were dead last in offensive rating and now they are 12th while still being 4th in defensive rating. They haven't arrived but certainly moving in the right direction.
